On a Killing Spree

My leg was killing me, even putting a little bit of weight on it took all my breath away. It was at that moment I had one of my mood swings. I became really angry, depressed, hateful and then settle in self-pity. My mood swings were awful but at least I never hurt myself. I snapped out of it and came back to harsh reality.

"Some one coming," Lila alerted me, as I shifted my weight around.

We were still up in the tree though I found it hard to balance.

"Who?" I whispered to her.

"Harry and the Sha girl," she answered, voice low.

I frowned. I still hadn't figured out Sha's weakness and it was deeply bugging me.

A small voice in me suddenly sang,

'Even though it's killing me,

I'm going on a killing spree.'

What? Was I going demented? Lila looked at me, angry eyes. Oh no. Groaning, I realised I may have said the little 'song' out loud.

"They know we're up here!" Lila grumbled, moving to another branch.

A blade came whooshing past my left ear and for a second, my heart raised to my mouth. Swiftly, I swung myself to another branch too, wincing as I put pressure on my bad leg. Lila caught my wince and gave me a look that asked, 'are you alright?'

I nodded quickly and another blade came hurtling by in the air, dangerously close.

"No point staying up here," I muttered to Lila.

She gave me a stiff nod and fell to the ground, gracefully. I, on the other hand, landed in a heap on the damp floor, earning a few snickers from our opponents.

"Now, look," Harry growled, "You can just let us kill you, quick and painless. Or you can choose a long and plentiful of pain death. Go ahead. What do you chose?"

"Who said we're gonna die?" I growled, narrowing my eyes.

On cue, Lila grabbed an arrow and let it fly. Harry and Sha easily jumped back and smirked at how easy it was to dodge. They didn't notice
