The night is beautiful, it is all dark and starry, just like the stars on my ceiling. I like the world when it is like that. It feels like the whole world actually gives me some space to think and ponder about my thoughts. I needed time to myself. Everything was moving too fast for my liking. However right now, I just want time to move a teensy bit faster. Hunter is coming to my house after-all.

I sit quietly at my desk in my room, looking out onto the street which faced Hunter’s house. When is he going to be here? This is the first time, that I would ever have a boy over in my house, let alone my room. Apparently both our parents became such good friends that they thought that it would be okay for both of us, two fifteen year olds, to hang out together. My Mom thought that Hunter seemed like a cool kid, someone who could at least rub off some of his coolness on me. And well……Hunter’s mom thought that the interaction between me and her son, could help Hunter……well be smarter. Come to think of it, what do I really think of Hunter? Apart from his shyness, I saw Hunter as a deep thinker, just like her. Maybe that’s why I felt a connection between him and me. Behind that fit, muscular frame of his, lies a heart so complex that even scientist who wanted to perform experiments on him, would never find out what he is feeling every single moment. And above that heart, lies a brain, a brain so powerful that can calculate a million thoughts and feelings simultaneously, it never gets overwhelmed. In front of that brain, a pair of wide-eyed eyes was all it took to make Hunter stand out from the crowd. Those eyes are so innocent looking, but I know that those eyes are special, because it can see people’s feelings, read people’s minds, hear their thoughts. Ultimately, I knew that Hunter was special, he was unique, and he was different. Do I like Hunter? I thought as I pulled my hoodie closer to myself. I think I……

“Jordan, the door just rung! I think Hunter’s here!”

I must have been so lost in my thoughts, that I hadn’t realized that Hunter crossed the road without me noticing.

“Okay Mum, coming!” I got onto my feet and ran down as fast as I could.
