Ch 29 late night chatter

Normal POV
Just after saying goodnight to one another, Grelle stayed wide awake. The reaper yawned softly as she squinted at her phone only to read 12:32 am. Groaning mentally. She glanced at the window, seeing the bright full moon illuminating the darken room. She contemplated on whether or not to send another text to her precious friend or not. Who knows what he was up to. Getting out of bed and quietly walking out of the room, the shinigami quietly roamed the darkened hall way with her glasses on and a hand running against the cold walls as she walked. She continued to walk as she bumped into a door. Glancing down to the floor, she noticed that a light was on in the room and she quietly knocked, hoping someone was still awake.

Waiting. She reached out to knock once more then a figure opened the door before her "yes?" Then looked at the shinigami "Grelle? Fancy seeing you awake" Grelle nodded then embraced the demon with a hug "just can't sleep, Sebastian..." the demon was surprised with the sudden hug and gently pulled her in his room "is something bothering you?" The shinigami shook her head and smiled softly "no. Just having a wonderful time"

Sebastian knew something was off about her. He sensed that she was upset... upset about what? "But.... I miss being with you, Sebas-chan." Hearing a sudden tone in her voice, he blinked "I know I spent most of the time with Mepphy, but I miss seeing you around. Mephisto doesn't mind me seeing you but..." she couldn't think of the proper words to finish her sentence. Sebastian never thought he seen her have a breakdown. Nothing too major. Just a small breakdown. Grelle prepared herself to wipe away the upcoming tears but didn't allow herself to be complete upset, knowing how broken she was before. Sebastian smiled and unexpectingly hugged the reaper "please do not tell that fiend. Also, this is between you and I. But I, too, miss seeing you around. It's been rather quiet without you here. But this question is rather burning in my mind.... how is everything in that place? You seem like your old self. All jumpy, super happy." Grelle giggled and nodded "it's too lovely, Sebas-Chan. If Mepphy hadn't fiddled with time, I would say it's been months since I met him. He's too good to me, and wouldn't do anything awfully rude to me. I appreciate everything he truly does for me."

Listening to her, Sebastian couldn't help but relieve that she is truly happy again. Just what he wants. He pulled the reaper with him, he lied down first, faced the ceiling and had Grelle rest her head on his chest and lied down properly. The butler held her protectively "if you don't mind me asking.. but who is that child you brought along with you? The young master told me she takes resemblance of Lady Elizabeth." The red head nodded at the thought "you know, I honestly thought the same as well the first time I met her. She's rather shy and loves being with her friends. I am not completely sure about her with cute things, but she fancies gardens quite a lot. I was introduced to her by her friends who happen to be twin brothers." The butler rose an eye brow "twins?" Then she nodded to his question, "they don't even look like each other. Apparently, I heard that they are sons on Satan himself. Yes, they do have scent of the demon but don't look like much. Rather than fun young teens"

Sebastian chuckled and rolled his eyes "taking form of a human..." The reaper smiled "exactly. Knowing them, they're both kind. One of them is a hot head really. And his brother reminded me of Will... just his features. A smart kid" then Grelle yawned softly "I miss cuddling like this with you, Sebas-Chan. Felt like forever ago" Sebastian glanced down at her "how long do you plan to be with that demon?" Grelle blinked at the question and shrugged "don't know yet. He asked me if I wanted to give him something in return for all this. But i don't know yet"

That kept Sebastian's mind going "you.... giving him anything in return after for what he's done to make you happy....?" Grelle wasn't too sure about his tone and she sat up and faced the butler "if you say it like that.... then yes..." Sebastian gently took her hand as he, too, sat up and looked at her "please answer me this, Grelle. Then I'll let you sleep" Grelle had her guards high to whatever Sebastian might ask.

"Why did you allow him to watch over you?"

That's it. That question was something she wanted to avoid. Taking a deep breath, she glanced down at his hands "I understand that you trust that being. But I question why..." the reaper randomly let out a giggle and smiled at him "I admit when I received that envelope ages ago, I was completely skeptical about him. I honestly didn't know a thing about him, and at the time..." taking a moment as she was caught off by a soft yawn "I was scared to fall for someone. When he included a key with that note, I couldn't help but wonder who he truly was," Grelle smiled and looked at the butler "after spending time with him, oddly enough, I actually put some trust in him. And he is rather a caring man" Sebastian heard her and actually considered it "I understand that he makes you happy..." a hint of jealousy kept into his voice, and Grelle immediately caught on but pretended it was no big deal "I'll consider trusting him, Grell...." she beamed up at the butler and her eyes widened by surprise "Sebastian?" "I'll have his head if he dares lay a finger on you, you hear?" Grelle showered the demon's face with countless amount of kisses "thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!!"

Chuckling, the butler allowed the reaper to give him that sudden love. The butler smiled and hugged the shinigami close "you're welcome, Grelle"
