Friends, Maybe More

Chapter 26

I got my purse and pulled out my phone and hit emergency phone call because I didn't have any time to type in my password.

I dialed 911 and put on speaker and put it in the section in between the seats while I was driving.

"Hello what's your emergency?"

"This man pulled up to my car while I was loading my grocery bags in my car and he told me to get in his car and then I pulled away and before I knew it he was following me!  Please help and send help quick I don't want him following me home and I have to take my turn down the street to my house! Help!"

I started crying right there because I was really scared.

"Okay, help is on the way.  Stay calm and DO NOT take that turn on your street."

"Okay, I won't please help quick I'm so scared right now."

"The officers are about 3 three minutes away just stay calm."

"Alright"

*3 minutes later*

I can see the police cars behind me.  I remember telling the lady who picked up my 911 call my license plate.

The cops got in front of the mans' car and "pulled me over."

The man kept driving and before I knew it he was gone down the road.

"Katie, it's alright we will drive you home and make sure you are safe."  The officers told me

"Thank you so much." I said as I gave all four of the officers hugs.

One of the officers drove my car and the others in their cars and I went into one of the officers cars and told every little detail about what happened with that man.

I got out of the car and it was like Harry was watching the driveway to see when I was coming home because as soon as we pulled into the driveway with all of the cop cars including my car he came rushing out with Lily in his hand.

"What happened Katie" He screamed and pulled be into a long tight hug. 

It felt so nice to be back in his arms because we haven't had one of those in a day.  Oh my gosh.  One day.  That's it.  It has only been one day since we had a really a nice long day.  

And at that moment that is when I realized that I need him.

"Harry, this guy told me to get in his car.  Then I went in my car and he was at my window and when I drove off.  Then when I went on the road he was behind me following me.  That's when I called the cops"  I cut off because I started crying again

He pulled me in another long hug and in between my sobs I said over his shoulder "Harry, I was so scared."

"It's okay you are here with me now"

The police stayed for another couple hours just watching out to make sure that he wasn't behind us and just waiting until they left.  

They left and told me to call them again if we thought anything was suspicious.  I agreed then walked inside the house with Lily in my arms.

And I was so surprised at what I saw.
