Chapter 46

Gemma was lying there with about 6 doctors/nurses crowding around her.  Once we all entered they all focused their attention on us.

Gemma looked awful.  She was laying there with so many cords around her.  There were so many IV's in her.  And she still had some dry blood on her face.  There was a monitor next to her bed which monitored her heart beat and it didn't look good.

"She's in a coma" one of the doctors told us all

Anne immediately started crying.  I could tell Harry wanted to because his eyes were full of tears just waiting to explode.  He was also squeezing my hand really tightly.

I couldn't believe this was happening.  Tears started forming in my eyes and i felt one come out of my ear and fall down my cheek.

We stayed in Gemma's room for many more hours just praying and hoping she would wake up.  

Right now Gemma is on life support and it's very expensive.  I can already see the bills piling in.  Anne isn't the 'wealthiest' person so paying those bills isn't going to be easy.

"I better get going.  Those bills aren't going to pay themselves."  Anne said and left.

Harry and I stayed a little bit longer asking the doctor some questions.

We caught a cab to a car rental place because we definitely will need to go places while we are here.  We picked out a navy blue Mercedes-Benz.

Harry drove us to the hotel after we picked out the car and paid.
