Aphron surged forward, toward his room. He knew Loki would be in there because he could smell his scent. He pushed himself into the room. "Loki!"
Loki lifted his head where he was to no surprise reading. "What is it Aphron," Loki asked calmly as he flipped the page, his fingers running over the paperer pages.
"I need to talk to you," Aphron growled as he leaped onto Loki's bed and he sunk his claws in the fabric.
"Go ahead," Loki mumbled as he continued reading.
Aphron surged forward and sunk his fangs into Loki's book. He snarled and yanked the book from Loki's hands and thew it aside, losing the page. "I need your undivided attention."
Loki just rolled his eyes and sat with his hands folded on his lap. "Fine what do you want to talk about," he asked as he peered into Aphron's eyes.
Aphron's mouth suddenly felt dry when he tried to speak to the person he thought was his friend. He wanted to believe that Loki hadn't made the illusion of Morali and told Kroyto about his true father. He trusted Morali and if he said he didn't tell Kroyto than he believe him but that meant that Loki was the only last one is could possibly be. "Did you tell Kroyto about his parents?"
"Why do you think I would do that," asked Loki still calm and cool. That made Aphron want to vomit. Didn't Loki know what this had done to him?
"Because Kroyto told me that Morali told him that I wasn't his father, Atuk was," Aphron explained as quickly as possible so he could get it over with. "I confronted Morali about it but he denies it and I believe my brother."
"What does this have to do about me," Loki interrupted.
"I think that you changed into Morali and told Kroyto the truth," Aphron replied as he licked his lips, his fangs still bared.
"Exactly," Loki breathed as he swung his legs around the side of the bed and Aphron longed to just launch himself at him. "It's the truth so he must know it."
"I wanted to be the one to tell him," Aprhon barked as his fur began to bristle a bit.
"When, on his deathbed or yours," Loki flashed in a way that Aphron hadn't seen Loki act before.
Aphron took a step back, nearly falling off the bed. "It wasn't your decision to tell him. It was supposed to be mine."
"Well he knows now and it's for the best," Loki told Aphron but Aphron couldn't disagree more.
Aphron leaped down and began prowling around, swearing in Wolf Latin under his breath. "Our whole relationship has changed. Now he doesn't even want to look at me. Besides he made a very good point."
"What that you could be his father," Loki butted in as he leaned forward and grasped the book Aphron had thrown by it's spine.
"How did you-" Aphron began but he shut his muzzle and gulped, feeling his heart leap in his chest. He had never felt more lost in his life. "He told you, didn't he?"
'"Well is it true," Loki pressed as he set the book aside surprisingly. "Could you be his father."
Aphron shook his head. "No. I never mated with her. I don't know where he got that dark pelt that doesn't match his father's or his mother's."
Loki sighed a bit as he leaned forward, stretching out a hand toward Aphron. Aphron snarled and Loki drew back, fearful that Aphron might snap. "Look I am sorry. I just did what I thought was best for Kroyto."
Aphron turned his head away from Loki since he didn't want Loki to see him cry. "Well you were wrong."
