Grayson's POV

I walked to class and sat down in the middle spot of the classroom. I can't sit in the way back, otherwise I'd fall asleep and not pay attention. If I sat in the front, I'd pay too much attention for my liking. The middle was almost just perfect for me.

I saw Blake and waved him over. He sat down next to me.

"Sup dude," we exchanged smiles.

"Nothing really... When do we have lunch?" I asked him getting out my binder.

"We have it at 12:45. We're the last lunch,"He said and looked over next to someone else next to him.

"Sweet," I muttered to myself. Only 45 minutes.

The bell rang and everyone rushed in. For some reason people always hung out right in front of the door and waited until last second to get inside of the room. The teacher came in and told us all to settle down and got back to teaching the lesson she had made up for the day.

It was history, so it was pretty boring to me. It was about the Romans and stuff which I learned the year I left school for private school. I already knew everything about this time period so I didn't have to bother listening to the lesson.

And before I knew it, I was being trapped on the shoulder. I looked up and the light was blinding me.

"Lunch dude, next time, I ain't waking you up,"Blake said and walked away with the other friend.

I yawned and grabbed my ID. I caught up to Blake and introduced myself to the other guy, Ryan, and ate lunch with them. I didn't see Ethan, so he must not have this hour with me. I texted him, but he hadn't replied yet.

"What school did you come from?" Ryan asked me chewing on an apple.

"Actually, I was homeschooled for quite a while,"I said taking a swig of water.

"Oh, why?"

Because I was depressed. Because I was bullied. Because everyone thought I was weird, "My mom said me and Eth had the opportunity to get homeschooled so we took it. Our mom talked us into going back for our Senior year."

"Dang, I wish I could be homeschooled like you were,"Blake said.

"Really?"

"Hell yeah man, I would've missed the parties and shit, but don't you get a better education?"

"Yeah, they estimated me to graduate with a 3.9,"I only knew that because I took a test that was linked with the homeschooling app we used.

"Damn dude, mine is probably like a 2.0,"The whole table broke out laughing.

The administrator gave us the okay to leave and me, Blake, and Ryan walked back to our classroom.

I saw Skylar down the hallway and she stopped me.

"Hows day number 1 going?" She smiled.

"Pretty good," I gave a little chuckle.

"Hey Ryan. Baby," She smiled at Blake and they kissed.

I felt my heart plummet to the ground. It makes sense though I guess. She's way too pretty and nice to not have a boyfriend.
