Grayson's POV

I woke up to a plain white hospital room. I had machines hooked up to me everywhere. There were in my arms and I had a breathing tube. My mom was asleep in a chair with my older. sister, Cameron.

When Cam realized that I had woken up, she shook my mom awake gently and they walked over to me.

"Honey are you okay?" Concern filled my moms face.

"Yeah," my voice hurt and was super raspy, "water?" I asked.

"I'll go get him some," Cam touched my moms arm and moved away from the bed to the door.

"What happened? All that we were told is Ethan called 911 before he passed out?"

I looked around the room for him, he wasn't anywhere in here.

"I'll tell-" I started a coughing fit. I was out for so long that my throat was super dry and it was hard to talk.

"Oh," my mom caressed my face softly, "Grayson...your brother...he's," Cam had came in with the water.

I drank all of it in and instant. God my throat felt so much better. But that's not what was important.

"Mom, what happened?" My voice was still a little raspy and stung as I talked.

"He's in ICU. He suffered major spine and neck injuries from the crash. He's in a worse state because it took a while to find you two out in the woods. When they did, they found his head hanging down. They didn't know how long it was like that, but he suffered from it. He hasn't woken up yet."

Oh my God. Tears welled up in my eyes. This was all my fault. I was stupid enough to drive and lose control of the vehicle.

"Gray, don't cry," my sister cooed.

"I lost control of the vehicle. The last thing I saw before we completely crashed was Ethan's neck hit the review mirror and his back hit the dashboard... That's when I was out."

Now my mom started to wail. Oh my god this was not okay.

"How long..."

"About a week now," my mom said through sibs

"A week?" holy shit.

"Yeah, you two seriously hurt yourselves," Cam added.

I starred up at the ceiling. I can't believe this is happening. I didn't want to process it. And I won't either. I don't have to and I won't.

We heard a knock at the door. My mom said to come in. It was Skylar.

"Oh. You're up now," She gave a small smile. She had a card in her hands.

"Hey, you know, me and mom needed some fresh air anyways. We've constantly been going back and forth between you and Eth. How about we go for a walk, mom," Cam took mom's hand and they walked out of there whispering to each other.

"You can come in," I said wiping my tears from my cheeks. I really didn't want her to see me cry.

"Oh yeah right, sorry. I just... I expected you to not be up."

"Oh."

"Sorry, that didn't sound right. I'm a little disoriented right now," she gave a small, lifeless laugh.

"No it's okay, I think everyone is at the moment," I too gave a lifeless laugh.

"Uh, I got another card," she held it out.

"Another?"

"Uh yeah, I came in everyday and gave a card. It sounds stupid now that you're up, but at the time..." She shook her head.

"Oh thanks," I breathed.

I opened this one up. On the inside there were comments and Twitter and Instagram names in there.

"I hope you guys are okay"

"Praying for you two"

"I love you Gray, and Ethan too!"

"I hope y'all recover well❤️"

"I'm keeping you guys in my heart❤️🔒"

"Wait, how did..." my voice trailed off.

"I was on YouTube and I saw your newest post in my recommended. I watched your videos non stop. I even had my phone taken away in class."

After a long moment of silence from the both of us, she spoke, "Why did you guys never tell anyone?"

"We were afraid." my voice cut itself short.

"Afraid?" Confusion crossed her face, "Afraid of what?"

"Not being good enough, being picked on for it, for not being accepted," I answered plainly.
