As I enter my room I seea note on my bed, "Ella, was this note here when you left?" Ella looks confusedat the paper I hold in front of her, "No, someone must have come and dropped itoff after I left." I sigh and open the note, "I know it's close to thedeadline, I hope you don't decline, I will be picking you up for the dance tonightat nine." I read from the note, "Who was that from?" Ella asks, "It says fromyour secret admirer." Ella squeals, "I can't believe tonight you finally get tomeet your prince." I can't help but laugh a little, "So tell me everything thathappened with my brother and you." I pull by her hand and sit her on the bed, "Wellthere isn't much to tell, your brother pulled me aside and told me how he hasfelt about since the moment he saw me, and I told him that I have had feelingsfor him for a while too." I look at her my eyes going big, "That's it?" I askwanting more of a story, "That's it." I huff, "Well that is everanti-climactic." Ella just shrugs her shoulders, "Did he at least ask you tothe dance?" Ella shakes her head, "He wasn't really invited to it, you knowsnice he was with Quinn's group and all." I nod me head agreeing with her. Aknock on the door pulled Ella and I out of the conversation that we werehaving, "It's open!" I holler and in walks Evie with a garment bag in slungover her arm, Carly with every ounce of makeup she owned, Ally with all herhair supplies, and the rest of girls with their own personal things they willbe wearing to the dance. "Ready to see your dress?" Evie asks, I nod my head eagerlyto see it. Evie unzips the bag and pulls out the most beautiful dress I haveever seen, the dress looks exactly like the picture Evie showed me before,

the dress itself has a white top that looks like flowers to me, and thebottom is black with glitter. "Evie, this dress is nothing short of gorgeous."Evie smiles with pride as well she should, "Thank you." I careful hang thedress over my closet door, "Time for the fun part." Ally says pulling me by myhand and sitting me in a chair. 'You know I can do all this myself." I say lookingat the girls, "We know, but you do a lot for us, this is our way of sayingthank you." Carly smiles at me and starts working on makeup and my nails, andAlly starts working on my hair. "So, are you excited to see who this secret guyis?" I nod my head, "I think it is Kevin." Jordan says leaning against thewall. "Why would you think that?" Carly asks sounding baffled, "Heidi wasalways around Harry, and Kevin is Harry's roommate, so why could Kevin develop feelingsfor Heidi in secret?" I couldn't argue with that, I do see Kevin a lot, and Ido hang around with him. "In my opinion it has to be Tyler." Evie saysfinishing her makeup. "The son of Tarzan and Jane?" I ask looking at throughthe mirror, "Yeah. I mean he seemed pretty friendly that day you were showingElla around the school, and he walked right next to you the whole way to the tourneyfield." Ella nods her head, "That's true Heidi." Deep down I had a feeling thatit wasn't Tyler, but you never know, "Oh come on it's so obvious that it's Cory."Carly says focusing on my nails, "Oh, come on, you can't be serious." Jordanremarks, "Well, he was the one that just happened to show up with her gift, andhis lame story about why he was waiting for her was just a cover up." Carlylooks away and smiles at her master piece, "You all are wrong, the secret admireris Paul." Ally says taking a piece of myhair in the curler, "He bowed to her at R.O.A.R practice, fought bravely anddefected Harry, gave her a rose and called her Princess, got into a fist fightwith Harry, was in the room when Harry asked her out for the first time, shesaw him shirtless, he tried to help her out with Harry, He picked you in themorning out of the blue, and most of all he just so happened to know about hergetting the mask." Ally had a solid case, and all the sighs were pointing toPaul being the secret admirer. "I don't know what to think or who I think willshow up at that door tonight." I sigh in frustration. "All done." Carly says, Ilook down at my nails to see a very nice hand crafted masquerade designs on mynails,

two of my nails have one side of a mask on it which I thought was thecoolest. "Thanks Carly, you really went all out." Carly smiles and giggles, "It'swhat I do." it's in a ponytail I think, but other than that I can't find the words. "Ally,you have out done yourself this time." Ally hugs me from behind, "Well you areone of my best friends, and only the best for my friends." I smile at Ally and returnthe hug. Once Ally and I pull away from the hug I stand up and go into thebathroom to put on my dress, "Come on out, we want to see it on you." Eviesays. I step out and look at myself in the mirror, "Someone is ready to go tothe ball." Carly comments. I walk over to my bed and pull out the box thatcontains my special mask, I open the box and gently place the mask on my face.

"It completes the whole outfit." Evie says gushing over the diamond mask I am wearing. Suddenly there is a knock on the door, "Guess your prince charming has finally arrived. I fix my mask and make my way to the door, I take one big breath before opening it, I am shocked who is standing in the doorway, "No way, it was you all along?" I ask the man standing in front of me.
