Chapter 34: The Demands

Heidi's POV

Evie, Laurel, and I all walk into Ben's office, "I have gotten a very threating note from our friends." I let out a scoff, "I wouldn't exactly call them our friends." I say with a sneer, "Mal was right, we should have never let any of them outside the barrier." Evie comments pushing her blue hair to one side, "Yzla, I am guessing that your special friends have nothing to share?" Cory angrily snaps, Yzla just shrugs it off, "My felines tell me a great many things." Cory just rolls his eyes, "But nothing useful I take it." Yzla just lets out a laugh, "Cory you sound like you doubt me?" Cory's face turns red, "YES I DOUBT YOU, I DOUBT THAT YOUR SPECIAL FRIENDS ARE AS GOOD AS YOU CLAIM THEY ARE, I DOUBT THAT YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF EVERYONE ISN'T AS COMPLETE AS YOU WOULD LIKE ALL OF US TO BELIEVE, AND MOST OF ALL I DOUBT THAT YOU ARE WORTHY OF BEING HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!" Everyone is silent, "Cory that's enough, we have no room to fight with each other, we need to focus on figuring out what we are going to do about the order." Ben says trying to keep the peace, "My felines informed me that the order has been meeting up in Quinn's room since they got here, Quinn has disappeared off campus and is gone into hiding somewhere near the edge of the forest, Winter has discovered her magic ability after an altercation with Heidi and Ella, Gaston JR has discovered his super strength ability by smashing a locker door to nothing, Chelsea has discovered her invisibility ability after a war of words with Heidi, Hadie has discovered his fire ability after being rejected by Ella, Harry Hook seems to have joined the order and most likely spilled all our secret meeting conversations, and finally Mal and Ally were abducted from the museum by Gaston JR and were last seen being taken inside an old looking shack on the docks." Yzla spills everything she knows about recent events, "And you are just now telling us all of this?" Christyn says very upset, "I didn't think meeting and discovery of abilities would do any good, I was told to bring the King information only if significant, which none of it was." Yzla always had a way to spin everything so she would get the upper hand. "We know that Mal and Ally are with Quinn, but why?" Evie asks just as confused as the rest of us, "Well from what my friends said, Mal called Ally to see about some Wonderland artifact being stolen from the museum." I tell everyone as much as I know, "Does anyone know exactly what was taken?" Ben asks looking to each one of us in the room, "It was some kind of fancy pocket watch." Yzla of course answers, "So this is all about a watch?" Jay asks sounding more confused than before, "There has to be more to this." I shift from one foot to another, it was moments like this that I truly missed Harry, he would make me feel safe and warm, "So they got the watch, what else do they want?" Freddie says leaning against the bookshelf, "And why take Ally and Mal?" Lonnie places her hand on Jay's shoulder. It was at this moment Ben held up a wrinkled piece of paper, "I think I can answer that." Ben unfolds the paper and places it on the desk, "The note says that they want Rebekah and King Triton's Trident." We all look at one another none of us understanding those demands, "Who is Rebekah?" Freddie kicks herself off the bookshelf, "She is the daughter of the White Rabbit." Evie says with sadness in her voice, "Okay but why her, and why would they want the trident instead of the wand?" Carlos asks taking Jane's hand in his, "To break the barrier, why else would they ask for the second most powerful thing in all of Auradon." Cory says in a duh tone, "Does the note say anything about where we are supposed to deliver these things to?" I take the note off the table and read it myself, "All it says it to come to the docks." Ben sighs, "But Mal could just use her magic." Jay pops up from his chair, "Not if she is outnumbered and my guess is she was." I look at Evie but she seems lost in her own little world, "I can go talk to Rebekah, maybe she can shed some light on the watch." Evie says leaving the room without another word. "I will go talk to my felines and try to figure out more about the shack." Yzla bows to Ben and walks out. "We need plan of attack." Jay says frustrated, "We need some kind of plan." Carols sounds just as frustrated, I can't help but feel like most of this is all my fault, Harry only joined because I made him feel like he had no other choice, they only stole the pocket watch because I wasn't there doing my job, I felt awful that I am the reason Ally and Mal were taken, I am the reason that everyone is either depressed or fighting with one another. I am snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of Ben's voice, "They are villains yes, but we should try to find another way to resolve this besides just resorting directly to violence." Ben is always the one to think talk before action, where the rest of us think the opposite. "The time for talking is over, you have had weeks to talk, now it's time kick their butts all the way back to the Isle." Jay says slamming his fists on the table, "I agree with Jay." Carlos says stepping up next to Jay, Ben sighs and hangs his head, "Okay, so here is what I am thinking." Ben starts to explain the plan.
