"[To Shang] Mulan: Would you like to stay for dinner?
[Yelling in the background] Grandma Fa: Would you like to stay forever!?"
-Mulan.
Ellie ran through the halls on Monday morning, pushing past people and bumping into the ones that didn’t get out of her way fast enough.
Ever since she had gotten the script of the play on Friday afternoon, she had been dying to tell the only person who truly understood her Disney obsession.
But Ellie had gotten out of theatre later than expected, and by the time she was out, Paige had already left.
She considered texting her, but thought it was way more important to tell her in person.
She texted her anyway to see if they could meet up on Saturday.
Elisa [3:56 PM]: Paige!
Elisa [3:56 PM]: Paige!
Elisa [3:56 PM]: PAIGE!
Paige [3:56 PM]: OMG, WHAT!?
Elisa [3:57 PM]: What are you doing tomorrow afternoon?
Elisa [3:57 PM]: ????
Paige [3:57 PM]: Uh… I’m busy.
Elisa [3:58 PM]: Busy doing what? So busy you can’t spare time for me!?
Paige [3:58 PM]: Uh… yes, I’m going out.
Elisa [3:58 PM]: Going out? With who?
Paige [3:59 PM]: …
Ellie took a little while to finally understand what her childhood friend was implying. She was way too excited about the play to really grasp the hint Paige was throwing at her.
Elisa [4:00 PM]: OH!
Ellie knew perfectly well that Paige had something going on with her science partner, John Morgan. Ellie even had like… one class with him; but right now she couldn’t place her finger on which one.
