It smells like bleach, it smells like her the two smells coincide into something that you can't stand and can't get enough of. You stand over the love of your life in a room in the middle of a hospital, you watch her breathe waiting for her to wake up to tell her the bad news and the good news. You know that you will cry you've already started for the thought of what must happen makes you want to break down. Ever so slowly you notice her start to stir you should get a nurse but you want a minute alone, finally she opens her eyes. You stare at her and she stares back, you don't want to tell her but you know you have to. Your heart it's failing, you say she opens and closes her mouth you didn't mean to say it so harshly but it's out, she starts tearing up you don't know what to do so you go in for a hug she accepts it. She says she doesn't want to go it's to early it's unfair so you look her in the eyes and you tell her it's okay it's going to be fine. And in the only way you can you tell her the other news. You point at her heart and you tell Her I will always be here literally and figuratively she looks confused. She says don't you mean I'll always be in your heart, then she pauses and asks what do you mean literally. You tear up and finally tell her How your donating your heart to her. She's stunned into silence and starts telling you how you can't do that she can't live with that, but you tell her everything is signed and ready to go the operation starts soon. You tell her how you love her and how you always thought there would be a future in store for you together but now you know there isn't you tell her you love her one last time then you walk out the room you can hear her crying but there's nothing to be done about it, you know you've made the right decision and maybe one day she will too.
