NAZZ

Nazz stood in front of the mirror, switching between holding one dress up to her chest and another.
While she went back and forth countless times, Kevin lied on her bed, tossing a football in the air and catching it in front of his face. Finally giving up on herself, Nazz turned to Kevin and held the dresses at her sides so he could see them separately. "Kev, I can't decide. Should I pack the baby blue strapless with the ambre gown or the red cross strap with sparkles and belt?"
Kevin caught the ball and turned his head slowly. "I think you may be taking this gay-best-friend thing a little too far." He went back to tossing the ball, ignoring Nazz's stare.
"What's got your panties in a bundle?"
     "It's nothing."
Nazz sighed and hung both of her dresses at the top of her mirror. Turning back to Kevin, she climbed up next to him on the bed to where she was should to shoulder with him. The two best friends stared at her ceiling in silence, enjoying the moment as they never experienced it often with their busy lives. "Kev, what's wrong? There's obviously something bothering you." Kevin said nothing. "Come on. It's your best friend. You can tell me anything." Kevin turned to look at Nazz. He let out a breath and closed his eyes.
     "I'm just tired." He admitted.
"That's not a good enough reason hy you're-"
Kevin cut her off, "No. I mean I'm tired of lying to everyone. Tired of keeping this a secret from all of my friends. I wish it wasn't such a problem." He opened his eyes, their emerald eyes locking once again.
The honey-sweet blond took his hand in comfort. "No one said you had to keep this a secret from them. They're your friends, like me. We'll all support you no matter what. We've been there since the beginning and we'll be for there you now." Nazz gave his hand a squeeze. "I promise."
Kevin smiled, definitely needing the support. "Thanks, Nazz. You always know what to say." She smiled back and leaned in to give him a kiss on his forehead.
Rolling out of the bed and stepping onto the floor, Nazz walked back over to the dresses. "Alright," she began as Kevin sat on and laughed at her. "Red or blue?" With the color being called, Nazz held out her hand to one dress and then the other.
Kevin looked over both of the dresses. "I think you'd look better in the blue." Finally getting an answer, Nazz threw off her clothes, being down to her undies, and changed into the blue dress. It formed to her body perfectly, complimenting her blond locks and dancer body. "You look beautiful." Kevin complimented her. She smiled brightly, feeling like a princess. She twirled in the mirror, the dress flourishing out like a blossoming flower.
"Oh!" she called out. "I almost forgot." Nazz turned to look at Kevin. "Did you end up picking someone to room with?" Kevin rubbed the back of his neck, trying not to make eye contact.
"Not really. I was kind of thinking about just letting Sarah decide. It's not like I can get stuck with anyone that bad, right?" Nazz put her hands on her hips and shifted her weight to one leg. "Yeah, I know. I have a chance of rooming with Eddy, but he probably already signed up for a room with one of the other Eds."
"Or they signed up for a room without him." The thought of Eddy being left out by his own friends made Kevin smirk, but at the same time left a pit in his stomach. "Either way, it's your risk." Nazz turned back to the mirror and attempted to put her hair up in a half-up-half-down ponytail. "I'm debating whether or not I should go half, full, or curl it down. What do you think?" She looked his reflection, his face asking if she was being serious. "I'm not asking you as my gay best friend. I'm asking you as the guy I used to dare that couldn't keep his eyes off of me." Nazz gave Kevin an over-the-shoulder smirk.
Kevin rolled his eyes and shook his head at her. "I always liked when you had your hair up. It showed off your face more. Plus, people can see if you wear earrings.
Nazz took a ponytail from her wrist and tied her hair up. She examined herself in the mirror a few times and smiled again. "Never mind. You definitely are a great gay best friend." Nazz looked back to find Kevin glaring at her. She laughed and stripped off the dress, hanging it back up.  "Alright. One outfit down. Let's move on to what I'll be wearing in the snow." Nazz walked into her closet excitingly. As for Kevin, he groaned and fell back onto the bed with a thump. "Do you think headbands are cute, or should I stick with a hat?"
