DOUBLE D

Things were actually starting to turn around for Double D.

Ashe looked at Kevin while walking down the hall, Kevin looked back at him with a laugh. "What are you staring at?"

Double D blushed, embarrassed by his actions. "I apologize. I was simply lost in thought. That's all."

"That's all you do is think." Kevin raised his brow as if to admit it was a joking remark towards Edd's constant thinking. "What is it this time?" he asked, getting deeper into Double D's thought process.

"Nothing."he lied. "I was just thinking about what we might possibly do tomorrow is all." Another lie.

Kevin turned to Double D. "All we have going on is that contest. I think Nazz is doing some ice skating race or whatever. Gotta cheer her on."

"Oh."Double D perked up. "I'll gladly lend my support. It's only the least I can do. You and Nazz have both done so much for me the past few days. I'm very lucky to have roomed with you after all." Edd smiled. He was really enjoying the trip.

Without looking back, Kevin just looked ahead and smirked. "Yeah. I guess it did turn out pretty good overall."

"Turn out well." Edd corrected him.

The redheaded jock glared down at Double D. "Don't push it, dork."The threat didn't seem to hit him as so. It came off to Double D as more of a playful warning. Kevin obviously wouldn't hurt him, but he'd probably do something equally as bad. Like pick him up and carry him all around the resort...

Double D chuckled awkwardly with a goofy grin. "Apologies, Kevin."

Kevin's straight face broke into a smirk, unable to stay mad at the dork. He was too innocent. It was one thing when he was choosing to hang outwith Eddy and constantly getting into trouble. But since he was on his own, Kev finally found an enjoyment to him. Thump. Kevin winced in pain as he bellied over, grabbing his wrist. "Whoops."Eddy sarcastically said while walking by. "Hope I didn't hurt your throwing arm, Shovel Chin." Ed stood to his side, towering over the small Ed. Kevin's eyes burned with hate as he stood up straight.

Double D was quick to Kevin's aid. He tried to make sure it was okay, but Kevin kept his hand over it. "You got something to say?"

"Maybe I do." It wasn't long after Eddy's comment that he and Kevin were face to face with one another. They stared daggers, aiming to kill one another. "What are you gonna do about it, Kev?" The way he spoke his name was filled with aggression. He was really holding back. Double D knew it.

"Gentlemen,we shouldn't turn to violence to resolve our issues." he tried to defuse the situation.

"Stay out of it, Sock Head!" Eddy turned to Double D. His look of anger only worsened when he saw his friend. Or, his ex-friend.

Kevin shoved his face further down towards Eddy's, their faces nearly an inch apart from one another. "Don't talk to him like that!" Kevin barked his order. The way he stuck up for him brought a warm sense in Double D's chest. The feeling didn't last long. Eddy screamed out as if he were insane and launched himself to Kevin. The boys fell hard on the ground with Eddy on top of him, smashing his fists as hard as he could against the jock. Fortunately for Kevin, he'd been in enough scraps to block his face against his hits. Plus, it probably helped that Eddy was pretty weak.
