DOUBLE D

Kevin was sprawled out on the bed. His eyes could barely follow Edd as he raced around the room to make sure Kevin was in complete comfort. For some reason, he couldn't help but to feel a little responsible for the whole incident.

"Double D, slow down. You're making me dizzy." Kevin rubbed the side of his head and closed his eyes so he could stop the room from spinning.

Edd skid to a stop and turned back to Kevin with a pillow in his hands."Oh, dear. I'm deeply sorry, Kevin. Would you like me to acquire some medication for you?"

"No.Just sit down and stop moving around so much." Kevin leaned back on the headboard and just smirked. "These pain killers are already doing enough. You don't need to do so much for me."

Double D's face instantly reddened as he feels an embarrassing warmth overcome his skin. "Well, I suppose you're right, but I do feel it is the right thing to do as a roommate to make sure you're in the utmost of comfort – especially since you're injured at the moment and under the influence of very strong medications that are supposed to remove some of your pain." Double D walked towards Kevin and carefully placed a pillow behind him, being ever so gentle as to not cause him any discomfort.

With a chuckle, Kevin just rubbed his cast and tried not to look him in the eyes. "Maybe I should be dating you instead of Nazz." He blushed, realizing what he'd said. "I mean. I didn't mean it like.I'm not. I don't." Kevin rambled, trying his hardest to take back what he said.

Edd couldn't help a smile, unable to hold back his giggling. Being polite, he did however try to hide it behind his fingers. "It's no worries, Kevin. I completely understand what it is you're trying to say. I'm sure Nazz would be here now if she could. She cares an awful lot about you. I have high admiration for her heart." Double D sat down on the edge of his bed. Kevin just continued to smile. It was pretty clear that Edd felt a certain way for her. Maybe he liked her?"Since she isn't allowed to be here at the moment, I suppose I'll have to suffice for the time being."

Shaking his head, Kevin just sighed and leaned back to relax. "You've always been so headstrong. Ever since we were kids."

"Is that so?" Double D questions in curiosity. "And what was it in particular that made me so headstrong in our childhood?"

Kevin just glanced over with a raised brow, daring him to take the question seriously. Edd only waited for his answer. "Well, first of all, no matter what it was you were doing, you never gave up. Like that time when you tried building a plane on top of the school, just so you and the other Eds could escape from gym class."

Having jogged his memory, Double D raised a palm to his mouth. "Oh my.I've completely forgotten about most of the misadventures from out middle school years." Edd just giggled to himself. "Well, sincere kindling old flames from the past is something you wish to do in the moment, I do recall you holding a vengeful glare while holding me over my own old-fashioned printer." Kevin's eyes widened as the color on his face whitened. His hands came to his face and shielded his embarrassment.

     "Noway."

"Indeed you did." Double D giggled in the memory.

"I'm so sorry for that." Kevin dropped his hands to his lap and laughed it off.

Double D held his hand in front of him to wave away his apology. "Don't be silly. There were many other events that occurred that caused far more damage than almost being printed. Perhaps you remember the time when Eddy tried playing a nasty trick on you with an old lunch?"
