Chapter 2

Valerie's POV:

I went to my room and washed the blood off my body. Oh well, I'll just have to get another one. I looked out my window and saw the sun shining in the sky as well as the almost hidden moon. I signed. Tonight's the full moon.

It's the one time of the month that I'm forced to shift. I also have to stay away from all pack members, because it's when I'm more deadly. Where my other fur pattern comes out. I commanded everyone to be in bed by nine on a full moon. They didn't understand why but no one knows my wolf's true form, except my beta and third.

Oh boy, I can't wait until it's over.

Chris POV:

I stretched rolling out of my bed. Yawning I walked into my bathroom. I took a bath, brushed my teeth and got dressed. After pulling on my shoes, looked in the mirror staring at my reflection.

I brushed my jet black hair, my natural bangs falling directly over my forest green eyes. I walked downstairs to the kitchen, where my mom was making breakfast.

"Morning" I said. She smiled at me.

"Good morning dear" she handed me a plate of scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. I smiled a thank you and began to eat.

"Found your mate yet sweetie? " she asked. I shrugged.

"Not yet.... I'm not in any rush to find her so I don't really care "

"Christopher Mc Night! You will care when you find her! " she snapped.

"OK, OK " I said.

'She's right dude' my wolf, Allen, said.

'I know ' I said to him. I looked at the clock and my eyes widened at the time, I suppose to meet with the alpha for patrol in ten minutes. I scarfed down the rest of my food and ran to the pack house. I was there in five minutes so I collapsed on a bench near the field.

"Yo Chris! " I heard a voice say. I looked over my shoulder and saw my best friend Alec running towards me.

"Sup! " I said as he sat beside me.

"You know you're early for patrol........... For once" he chuckled at that last part and clapped his hands as I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever" I said. He chuckled a bit more.

"You know tonight's a full moon"

"Yeah, what about it? "

"Oh nothing. Just that it might be lonely for you. You know, not having a mate and all" he chuckled.

"Bite me, it's not my fault" I know I'll find her one day, I just need to be patient. I looked at the sky. Maybe I'll met her tonight. Hey, you'll never know, life is unexpected. I rose to my feet and walked to the field.

"OK warriors" I heard as I face the alpha with the other warriors.

"You know the drill" alpha Zander said.

We all split into four groups with eight warriors in each. The alpha nod his head at us.

"OK..... Group 1 you're on the south to east borders.. "

The group nodded their heads and ran to the southern border. "...group 2, east to north... " they did the same thing and ran to the eastern border "....group 3, north to west... " they also did the same before running to the northern border ".....and finally group 4,.." We looked at him "...you'll run west to south" we nod and ran towards the western border. I shifted into my light brown wolf with black tips on every strand of my fur giving my wolf a chocolate brown color as I reached in the forest.
