Chapter 7

Valerie's POV :

I sighed as I signed the last piece of paperwork on my desk. Finally... I'm done with the transfer paperwork for Chris  I thought.

'Speaking of our mate, did you enjoy last night when he was holding us? ' Kendra hummed. She's been in a good mood ever since last night. I felt better when I got up this morning..... I didn't have my normal nightmare.

'Him holding us was for your enjoyment not mine ' I growled at her.

'You stopped complaining'

'Only because I don't want to deal with your wining about wanting him to hold us.... Its so annoying '

'Could you just lighten up...... He's our mate after all, he won't willingly hurt us so just lighten up and open up to him already '

'Enough of this Kendra, I know you want to be with him but I can't allow us to go through that pain again if we are unable to protect him...... I don't want to go through that again ' I sighed

'I know that Val and I understand you just want to protect us but we need  him, we need to be happy. It's what your parents and brother would've wanted ' I sighed and blocked her. She was right but I wasn't only protecting us, I was spearing Chris the burden of my past. I didn't want him to know.

I looked back at the papers in my hand.

OK, now only the preparations for the ceremony is left I thought. I'll have to inform Chris of it. I walked out of my office to Chris's room. I knocked and waited.

"Come in" he said as I entered. "Luna Valerie "

"Chris "I greeted .

"Is there something wrong? "

"Nothing's wrong, I just came to inform you that the ceremony for you to be a member of this pack will be held tonight at 7:00 PM. Sorry for the late heads up"

He nodded "OK. Thanks for informing me"

"You're very welcome. Oh, and I need you to invite your mother to come"

"Got it " and with that I left him and went back to my office. I grabbed my phone and called Alpha Zander.

"Good morning Alpha Valerie " he greeted.

"Good morning Alpha Zander " I said "I just called to invite you to my pack for Chris's bonding ceremony tonight at 7:00 PM"

"Thank you for the invitation, Alpha Valerie. I will be arriving at with his mother at noon "

"OK I will see you there"

"As will I" I cut off the connection. I mind linked the entire pack and reminded them about tonight. The omegas are going to deal with the decorations and food while some of the others volunteered to help them.

I glanced at the at the clock, I had one and a half  hours to get ready for our guests. I headed downstairs to the kitchen.

I sat down around the table and an omega handed me a plate. I thanked her and began to eat. Once finished, I placed my plate in the sink and went up to my room. After a refreshing shower I threw on a white T-shirt, a tracks suit and a pair of converse. I left my hair to fall in natural waves to my waist.

I glanced back at the clock and headed to Chris's room. I knocked and waited for him to answer. He opened the door and stared at me.

"Our guests will be arriving soon. I strongly suggest that you better get ready " I stated.
