Chapter 3

Valerie's POV:

After a few hours, I went back to the pack house. I couldn't get that scent out of my mind, and I wanted to so bad. It's not like I want a mate, but I have no choice. It's not like I can be alone forever, somewhere along the line, the pack will need an alpha...... Whether I like it or not.

'We can't be alone. We have a mate for a reason, whether you want him or not. I need my mate Valerie ' my wolf growled.

'I know Kendra. But... ' I said but was interrupted.

'No buts'

'Fine'

I climbed through my window and got dressed. I dropped myself in my bed and went to sleep.

Chris's POV:

I rolled out of my bed, as usual, thinking about that wolf from last night. About that unusual fur pattern, the white crescent above it right cheek.......

'And those eyes, those unusual majestic eyes ' Allen said dreamily.

'Yeah that too' I said

'And you should stop calling the wolf an it........ It's a female '

'How the hell do you know that! ' I snapped

'I don't, I just........ Have a feeling, a strong one' he said calmly

'Whatever..... And why the hell where you yelping last night? '

'I don't know... I just felt this.... This energy radiating off her. '

'OK if you say so'

I went downstairs and greeted my mom.

"Morning"

"Morning dear" she said as she set a plate of waffles in front of me. "Fine her yet?" I looked up at her.

"No, and mom I'll find her when I find her, OK" I took a bite of my waffle. "But I did see this wolf last night." I added swallowing my food.

"What about this wolf?" She asked, curiosity filling her voice.

"I don't know..... That wolf was just different.... It had this fur pattern that I never seen before... Oh and it's a she-wolf, at least that's what Allen says."

"How does he know? "She asked and I shrugged.

"I really don't know"

"OK, so what was her fur pattern?"

Images of her flashed through my head, "her fur was pitch black, but it had these small white dots all over her, and this white crescent over her right cheek..... Basically let's just say her fur pattern reminds me of the night sky, and her eyes....... " I paused, remembering those mesmerizing orbs.

"What about her eyes? "

"They were the beautifully mesmerizing gold color with silver specs in them"

"Did you catch her scent? "

"No but she caught mine.... The wind blew my scent to her then I ran off after that "

"Do you think that she's the one?"

"Honestly, I don't know " I finished my meal and went outside for a run.

Valerie's POV:

I woke you feeling strange. I didn't have my normal nightmare, this was a little different. It started the same as usual, but right near the end where I normally jump out of my sleep, I heard this voice calling to me. It was a male voice, calm and peaceful, when I turned to look where it was coming from I was in a field. I recognized the little cliff like hill as my get away spot.
