Chapter 4

Valerie's POV:

I untied his arms and he stood up.

"Your my mate....... Then why did you put me down here and have your little goons hit me? " he asked curiously.

I huffed, "because I was testing you..... I knew you were my mate when I landed in front of you in the forest" and I knew you were the one spying on me earlier.

"But how come I didn't know?"

"Because of my perfume" I rolled me eyes.

"Well at least the run wasn't a total loss " he mumbled to himself before he walk over to me. I eyed him cautiously as he came closer. When he was close enough, he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to his chest. My eyes widened with surprise by his action.

"I'm sorry for what I said earlier " he said. I just stood still, unsure what to do or think. He was hugging me? I had to admit, it did feel kinda nice. I started to relax but I came back to reality and pulled myself away.

He looked hurt and my wolf whimpered at my actions, missing his warmth. I turned around and walked out of the cell. I turned to Henry.

"Give him a tour of the house then take him to one of the guest rooms and keep him there. "I said then started walking.

"Umm...... But why, Luna? " he said and I slowly turned around. He flinched as my gaze landed on him.

"You dare question me? " I growled.

"My apologizes, alpha" he whimpered, putting his neck on full display.

" You're forgiven and don't question me again. Now I shall be in my office if you need me. I have other matters to attend to" I said and walked out of the dungeon.

'Why didn't you hug him back? No, why did you pull away? ' Kendra asked.

I sighed ' I don't know Ken, I'm just not use to that since what happened two years ago' she whimpered remembering what happen.

'OK I understand 'and with that she cut off the connection but I could still feel her sadness. I sighed. I have to make her feel better I thought. I walked up to my office and sat at my desk staring at the paper work on my desk. My eyes then flickered to my phone and I picked it up. And I know just how to. I dialed a few numbers and someone picked up the phone.

"Hello?" a deep voice answered.

"Hello Alpha Zander" I said.

"And who is this?" He said, sounding suspicious. I rolled my eyes.

"I am Alpha Valerie, of the Scarlett Moon Pack " I said.

"Oh, how may I help you Alpha Valerie?"

"I'm asking permission, on behalf of one of your pack members, to be switched over to my pack "

"Oh and who would that be? "

"Christopher Mc Night"

"Ahh, one of my best warriors I see. Now why is that, did he find his mate over on your land?"

Oohh you have no idea I thought

"Yes he has"

"Well I see no harm in that, so OK, he has permission to stay in your pack"

"Thank you Alpha Zander, now enjoy the rest of your day"

"Goodbye Alpha Valerie"

"Goodbye" and with that, I ended the call. I felt Kendra purr in my head.
