Chapter 6

Valerie's POV :

I plopped down on my bed. Training was over for today, and as usual it ended within 4 hours. I decided earlier during training to try out Chris's abilities myself. I choose him to spar with me for combat training. He was strong..... Not as strong as me but I had to use a bit more effort to take him down.

There's something up about him...... I thought as I looked over at the clock. I got up and headed to the shower. After a nice bath, I walked towards my closet. Just as I finished putting on my bra and underwear, I heard a knock on my door. I threw on a robe and opened the door, the scent of my mate greeted me.

"Alpha Valerie " he said.

"Chris " I nodded. I noticed his gaze was drifting downwards I started to feel embarrassed but I shook it off.

"Oi, eyes up here" I stated, folding my arms over my chest. I wasn't upset but I wasn't OK with him staring at me meanwhile Kendra was purring. His eyes met mine again.

"Umm...........sorry" he said.

"What do you want, Chris?"..... OK that was a bit cold even for me.

He flinched a bit but shook it off "I wanted to ask you if I could visit my old pack today........ You know I have my friends... Relatives..... My mom"

"Technically you're not fully in this pack but...... You have permission to visit. Just be back before 9:00 pm sharp" I nodded.

"Ok....... Thanks alpha " and with that he walked away. I closed the door and went back to getting dressed. After throwing on a white T-shirt and a pair of grey sweats, I dragged myself to my office.

I looked at the pile of papers on my desk then at my phone. I grabbed it started to dial a few numbers. The phone rang and Alpha Zander picked up.

"Good morning Alpha Valerie " he said.

"Good morning Alpha Zander " I stated.

"What do I owe the pleasure of you calling me?"

"Christopher want to visit your pack, so I'm giving you a heads up about the visit. He will be arriving there today"

"Ahh I see, well I'll ensure that he is welcomed back here. Thank you for the heads up. "

"You're very welcome, goodbye Alpha Zander "

"Goodbye Alpha Valerie, I hope we'll meet someday "

"We'll be meeting soon, you can count on it"

"I'll keep your word for it"

"Ok bye" and with that I ended the call. Now all I have to do is finish up the paperwork and then make preparation for the ceremony before he can be a full member of the pack.

Chris's POV :

'Will you shut up Allen! ' I growled at my wolf. He has been babbling nonstop about Valerie in the robe.

'I will not shut up Chris, you've seen her' he howled.

'She was just in a robe, nothing fancy, nothing special '

'Oh on the contrary, that robe showed quite a bit of cleavage' he added. I sighed.

'What am I gonna do with you? '

'The question is, what are you gonna do without me? ' I sighed again, there's not arguing with him.

I entered my room and headed to the closet. I pulled over a black T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. I quickly threw them on with a pair of black converse and walked out of the pack house. Instead of shifting I decided to run there in my human form but use my super speed.
