:::Emma's POV:::

I squirmed in my seat on the examination table as I waited impatiently for the doctor to come in and do my ultrasound. I'd cried when I heard the baby's heartbeat last time. This time wouldn't be any different I'm positive. For Christ sake I cried today when I watched a Folger's commercial. It's safe to say I'm a tad bit emotional.

"Well Miss Denis lets have a look at that baby!" My doctor smiled coming into the room.

I nodded my head and laid back. Patience was supposed to come with me today, but she had to work and doesn't have a lot of vacation time so I'm on my own. Just me and the baby. The doctor sprayed the jelly on my tummy and wanded over my now bulging five month baby bump.

"Would you like to know the sex?" She asked me.

"I would." I smiled.

She turned the screen to show me and pointed to my baby. "He's a boy." She said. "Congratulations Emma."

I teared up staring at the blurry figure on the screen. It was a boy. My baby boy. "Thank you." I said feeling the tears fall down my face.

"Do yo want print outs?" She asked.

"Yes please." I nodded still crying.

"Do you want me to call your boyfriend back?" She asked making my tears go from happy to sad ones.

"He, he uh, he couldn't come today." I don't know why I said it. I mean it wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the truth either. He couldn't have come at all because he doesn't even know.

"Oh, I see. Well I'm all done for today so I'll schedule you another appointment in two months, but if you need anything please call me." She smiled. "Oh and what's the fathers name so I can go ahead and add it to the baby's file?" She asked as she was leaving.

"Drew Chadwick." I said trying not to let my voice crack at the end.

She nodded and left me alone again. I pulled my shirt down to cover my stomach and sat up. Soon enough she came back handing me the print outs of my ultrasound and an appointment card for my next appointment. I took both and thanked her then left. I made it home and wrote my appointment on the calendar. After that I sat down on the couch and flipped though the baby book adding one of the ultrasound pictures and turned to an empty page and picked up a pen.

Mommy's favorite movie: Perks of Being a Wallflower

Most memorable pregnancy moment: Today, I found out I'm having a baby boy and I cried. I can't wait to hold you in my arms.

Something Mommy hopes you get from Daddy: His eyes.

I stopped there and sat the book on the table. Patience strolled in dropping her things at the door. She rushed to sit next to me and prompted me to tell her about my appointment. I handed her one of the pictures.

"It's a boy?" She asked me unsure.

"He's a boy." I nodded holding back tears.

She looked guilty for a second and then it was gone. Maybe I just imagined it. "This is so exciting!" She squealed. "You're going to be a great mom. I can't wait to tell your son stories about how reckless you were as a kid." She laughed.

"I'm glad you're with me out here. I'd be lost without you." I said truthfully.

"Oh you'd be fine." She waved her hand.

"No I wouldn't. You're the best Patience." I smiled.

"I'm not that great Em." She sighed. "I need to tell you something."

"What's wrong? You aren't leaving are you!" I asked panicking.

"Nothing like that!" She assured me.

"Then what is it?" I asked.

"I um, well, Wes texted me today." She blurted

"Wes who?" I asked already knowing.

"Stromberg. I swear I didn't tell him about the baby. He just mentioned that Drew is really hung up on my friend Emma, and I wanted to tell you. I really think you should tell Drew." She rushed it all out.

"Patience I'm not telling him and that's final. California is a big place and even when he comes home, I doubt I'll even see him." I shrugged.

"Wes said he really liked you though." She pushed.

"Well that's great but I don't care." I lied. The fact he liked me made my heart flutter in my chest.

"Okay, I'll drop it." She sighed. "What do you want to eat?"

"Chinese sounds good." I told her.

After dinner Patience went to her room and laid down. She has morning classes tomorrow at the college. I dropped out about a month ago so I can save money for the baby. I laid in my bed tossing and turning in my bed. Eventually I gave up and got my laptop out.

I typed in Emblem3 Videos on YouTube. I clicked on some and watched the boys do interviews. I was about to try to fall asleep again when I felt the baby kick. I glanced back at the computer and seem Drew talking. The baby kicked again. When Wes started talking the kicked stopped.

"You like the sound of Daddy's voice." I stated placing my hand over my stomach. "Me too." I added.
