:::Drew's POV:::

I rolled around uncomfortably in bed sighing every time I moved as sleep evaded me. I'd give anything to just have a decent eight hour nights sleep. The room in the hotel was completely silent other than Wes and Keaton's light snoring.

Eventually I cut my losses and stood up. I pulled on a shirt and left the hotel room making my way down the hall. The clock on the lobby wall said it was about four in the morning here in Fort Lauderdale. I left the hotel and shoved my hands in my pockets as I walked down the street.

The air was chilled and it was still dark out but I didn't mind it really. The sounds of the city life were loud around me. My mind wandered back to California. I wonder if Emma thinks about me as much as I do about her. I mean I know she was a fan, but she was so much more than just some girl I hooked up with. She keeps me up at night. Just thinking about how she could be mine. Sometimes getting everything you ever wanted isn't everything you expected it to be. Sometimes it just sucks. I can't even get a girl I like because I'm always busy or on the road. My phone cut off my thoughts a little while later.

"Hello?" I answered my phone when it rang.

"Dude where the hell are you?" Wes asked sounding worried. "I woke up and you're just gone man!"

"I went for a walk. I couldn't sleep." I sighed.

"Well it's almost six now so head back. Sound checks at ten and we have interviews before it." Wes told me.

"Yeah I'm coming." I said standing up.

"Be careful man. Keaton said there's a mob of fans in the lobby." Wes said.

"I'll be fine." I laughed.

"Her names Emma Denis by the way." Wes added nonchalantly.

"Who?" I asked knowing damn well who.

"The girl from Cali that you're all hung up on." He sighed. "The real reason you're not sleeping."

"Oh her." I acted as though I was indifferent. "How'd you know her last name?"

"Patience told me." He chuckled. "I got her number when we hung out so I texted her and she told me Emma's last name, but that's all the dirty work I'm doing. Look her up or something. We'll be home next week for a few months and I'm just tired of my best friend being all depressed."

"Thanks man. You're something else Wes. I owe ya one." I laughed. "I'll see ya in a few."

We hung up and I made my way back to the hotel. After the show tonight I'm for sure looking Emma up. I'm not going to let her slip through my fingers. She's something special and I know it.

The interveiws were basically all the same. We answered the questions then moved on to sound check. Everything was all good so we had some down time to just sit and chill before the show.

"Are you googling your girl?" Wes asked looking over my shoulder.

"It's none of your business." I laughed shoving him.

"Oh you think you can take me?" He snorted teasing me.

"I know I can!" I laughed.

We wrestled around until Keaton broke it up. Then Wes went to shower and I continued looking for Emma's number in the phone book online. She must not have a home phone because there was no number. Next I looked her up on Twitter and luckily I found her. Her profile picture was of her and her friend Patience, and her last update was...

My heart sank as I realized what the picture was. It was a blurry sonogram photo of a baby. Emma Denis was pregnant, and based on the happy comments that went with the picture I'd say she's excited. I guess I'm never getting her back if she's having another guys baby. I'm just too late. The world works in mysterious ways sometimes.
