:::Emma's POV:::

I ran into Drew a few days ago. I had full intentions of telling him and I looked right into his gorgeous eyes, but I just couldn't do it. I couldn't look into those perfect crystal blue eyes and tell him I was having his baby. What if he gets mad and doesn't want anything to do with the baby? I don't know what I'd do. At least if I don't tell him I can tell the kid it was my fault, because I know for a fact that I couldn't tell the baby his dad wanted nothing to do with him. I just couldn't do it.

"Emma!" Patience yelled coming into my room.

"What's up?" I asked setting the baby book aside.

"Um, I wanted to let you know that, I'm um, goingoutwithWestonightsodon'twaitup." She rushed out the end.

"What was that?" I laughed.

"I'm going out with Wes tonight so don't wait up." She but her lip looking like she expected me to blow a gasket.

"Have fun." I smiled.

She looked confused. "Thanks?"

"Mmhm." I nodded.

"You're not upset?" She asked.

"No, should I be?" I laughed.

"Well, no. I just thought you'd be mad because he'd be around." She gestured to my belly.

"I saw Drew a few days ago." I hung my head. "I couldn't tell him Patience, I just couldn't deal with it if he wants nothing to do with his baby. As far as Wes goes though, I don't mind if he's around at all. I mean he already knows I'm pregnant." I shrugged.

"Well then good. I'm glad you aren't mad at me. Maybe you can tell Drew some other time. It might get easier." She smiled. "I've gotta go though. I'm meeting Wes downtown."

"Bye." I waved as she left my room.

I sat alone in silence thinking about what to do with my life. I want to tell Drew, but at the same time I don't. Ugh! Life is so confusing! My stomach bounced as the baby kicked. I placed my hand over the place he'd kicked and smiled.

"I love you and everything's going to be just fine no matter what." I whispered patting the spot he'd kicked.

:::Patience's POV:::

Emma's making everything twenty times harder than it needs to be. I respect that it's her baby, and she's scared but damn girl! She needs to just tell Drew already! I shook the thoughts of Emma from my head and parked my car in the lot of the place I was meeting Wes.

"Hey girl hey!" He sing-songed at me as I approached him.

"Hi." I politely smiled and took a seat across from him in the booth.

We ate and held small talk like normal people. Wes was super funny and I really liked him. I hope he doesn't think I only like him because he's famous because that's not true at all. He's amazing inside and out and it has nothing to do with fame.

"So Emma's pregnant huh?" Wes asked lightly as we walked toward our cars.

"She is." I nodded my head.

"How far is she?" He asked next.

"About six months I think." I answered.

"Is she happy?" He asked.

"She stoked about it." I said. "Emma will be an amazing mother."

"What about the father?" He asked.

That's a question I didn't actually know how to answer. "He's not around." I shrugged.

"Oh, I'm sorry it didn't work out." He said.

I nodded my head. "Yeah, me too."

"Well I had fun today Patience." He hugged me tightly against him making me giggle as he shook us from side to side. "We should do this again. You can pick the place next time."

"Well I have finals in two weeks and I really have to study so it won't be for awhile unless you want to come hang at my house." I laughed.

"I can do that as long as I get to help you study." He winked making my heart skip a beat.

"Something tells me you aren't going to help do anything except distract me." I said.

He kissed my forehead then stepped away from me. "I'll help you do anything you want as long as it involves spending time together. I like you." He smiled sweetly all joking aside.

"I like you too. I'll text you in a few days." I said.

He smiled and nodded as he got in his car. I watched him drive away from me and long after he was gone I got into my car and headed home. On the way I swung through the drive thru and got Emma something to eat. Then I continued on my way.

Once I got home I found Emma on the couch sobbing on the phone. She was past upset and straight on to devastated. I sat next to her and patted her back as she continued to talk to the person then she said thanks and hung up.

"Em, what's wrong?" I asked.

"My dad was killed by a drunk driver in head on collision." She sobbed. "She was a police officer and wanted to inform me. I have to call my mom. She'll be devastated. I didn't even know he was in town! I guess he was visiting some family in San Francisco." She added through tears.

"Emma calm down it all going to be okay. You'll get through this." I said still rubbing her back softly. Her and her dad had a strange relationship. They were very close but they didn't need to be close to show it if that makes sense. "I'll call your mom."

"You'd do that?" She asked.

"Of course." I nodded. I handed her the take out bag and went to my room to make the call.

After I'd called Emma's mom and we'd both bawled. She agreed to fly out as soon as she could to make arrangements. She said she'd just do a funeral here so Emma can come without flying and endangering the baby. I agreed and she hung up after thanking me for calling. I went to tell Emma but she was on the phone and I heard her speak softly.

"Drew please call me back. I, um need to tell you something." she sounded scared to death. Well this just got interesting.
