The stunt happened a while ago made me almost lost my appetite. Seeing Andrew run after Victoria who was the one at fault was heart breaking. He was siding Victoria over me when we were friends longer than he probably knew Victoria.

Cloud brought me the food that I wanted. The carbonara and the Hawaiian pizza. The smell of the food made my stomach grumble which then made us go back to normal except there were two empty spaces beside me and Ian. The boys continued their chit chat while me, I was eating silently, avoiding their gazes.

"Are you okay?" Toby's voice brought me back to my senses that made me flinch a little.

"Y-yeah. Just spaced out. Sorry." I told him. But the truth is, I'm far than fine.

"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have done it to you. The way your Mom looked at me scared the living shit out of me and I was guilty then." He laughed lightly. "But you, you're witty you know that? You dodged it immediately while if I was in your place, it could've taken ages to make an excuse."

Yeah, luckily I got my brain working along with me. The timing was very convenient at all.

Looking at Toby who really looked apologetic have softened me. He's not hard to forgive since he's gay, gays are tactless and that's their nature. When we fought, our arguments would never last a day. We would solve it before we sleep so that it won't bother us and get worse.

"I forgive you Toby. You're my friend after all." I smiled at him and kissed him on his cheeks.

The moment my other friends saw at my 'sweet' gesture, they hooted at us. I was left with red cheeks while Toby's face became neutral again. He was left eating fries and remained silent.

"Isn't this the part that you'll confess ya'll dating?" John asked.

"Wait, are they dating? But Toby's gay." Shawn interjected at John.

"Gays have penises too. Of course they can date girls. And Toby is not an exception." Luke, the manwhore of the group just nonchalantly shrugged the idea of John and Shawn.

I swear if they won't keep their mouths shut, I will walk away and never let them see me for the rest of the day.

They were laughing constantly about me and Toby and somehow Toby joined the bickering, defending our friendship. I don't see Toby that way. Besides if I see him as more than friends, he won't get to see me boobies anymore. I'll deprive him of my gorgeous girls.

That's when Ciara, Mr. Hawthorn's student-secretary ran to our table panting like he was chased by a crack dealer. Swear trickled on her face and she was gasping for air.

Did someone died?

"Hey Ci, chill. What's up?" Landon gave her a bottle of water and she gulped it immediately. We were shocked of what we have seen. A composed and prim and girl is now almost dehydrated and looks... she just woke up with hair sticking around.

"It's about Andrew."

The moment I heard his name, I gasped in horror. All of my friends were wide-eyed too.

"No, he's fine. I just need to see him. Mr. Hawthorn wanted to talk to him. And it might get ugly." Ciara told us in a matter of fact tone.

I didn't get the picture of "might get ugly" she was talking about but I know something wasn't right. There's this gut feeling that something big was about to go bad.

Ciara was now sitting on the unoccupied seat next to me. It's been thirty minutes when the lunch break started and we have barely fifteen minutes to finish our food and now, there's another news.

So much for the second week of school.

"What's wrong Ci?" Toby asked. Still unfazed and continued to eat his food.

"Nothing wrong. It's just, the coach confirmed the rumors." What?

"What rumors Ci? I don't get it." I was a lot confused. What rumors are they talking about? Is this about a Victoria and what Toby said a while ago?

"Where is the guy?" Toby asked suddenly.

"I don't know when is he coming but it'll definitely be this week. That's what I heard when the principal and the coach had a pep talk." All of them mumbled and talked to each other while me, I was left clouded.

"What the hell are you talking about?" I demanded. Because I really don't have the slightest idea what it is.

"Oh you didn't know? Apparently, there's been rumors that someone from Country West High decided to finish his high school here." Landon filled me the lacking information that my brain didn't caught. Well, it was my mistake for slacking for a week.

But then, what does it have to do with Andrew? It didn't quietly solved the puzzle. There's this transferee today and she was acting high and mighty around but then it isn't a big news. There would always be new here but this rumored person has made into news and spread like a wildfire.

"What does it have to do with Andrew?" I asked Landon but instead Toby answered.

"That rumored person is said to be the captain of Country West Tigers. And you know that Tigers is the leading lacrosse school based team. You get the picture." Toby was still unfazed at the sudden news. What the hell is wrong with him, why he isn't afraid?

I really do get the picture. If this guy will move here, sh*t will get real. That guy and Andrew would fight tooth and nail just to be on the captain spot. And I think it would scare Andrew since our team lost last play offs to them. This Tigers is something and ours was just a shadow to them.

This is a big trouble.

"No. Andrew is a great captain. That guy won't just barge and demand the captain spot. He worked hard just to get that spot and then someone would just try to steal it away from him? Gosh, it's absurd!" I ranted defending my first love even if he broke my heart a million times. My feelings for Andrew wouldn't go away even if I tried to.

"Actually that guy can." A voice eerily similar to our principal's thick and deep baritone suddenly stopped us dead track.

"So I heard the little commotion about you and this new transferee here. Care to share that Ms. Beaufort?" Mr. Montgomery, the principal, is now on our lunch table. The boys remained silent while I was back to being a gold fish gain. Opening and closing my mouth.

I don't want to get a detention now. It's been only the second week in school.

"Well, I'll let it slide Ms. Beaufort and you won't get any detention from that 'incident'. But, it doesn't mean that you won't get away with it. To compromise everything that happened, I have a proposition for you and maybe you might thank me for this. Come to my office after lunch. Don't worry, you are excused."

And with that he left me agitated and confused. I might not be in detention but I think detention is better than what Mr. Montgomery wanted me to do. I was left dumbfounded.

Why is this becoming worse?
