Chapter 1

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
I woke up and hit my phone screen trying to turn off my alarm just then my mom walks in and says
"Good morning sweetheart ." My mom smiled . I looked at her confused she must have seen it because she said
" I took the morning off so I could see you off to school and make breakfast also happy 18th birthday sweetie." She said pulling a small box from behind her . Inside the box there was a lot of rings I hugged her and said
"Thanks so much Mum ." I pulled the rings out and put all of them on

They were so pretty.
"Anna dear you should get ready for school , want a ride to school?" She asked
"No Elton is coming to get me ." I said . Just nodded and walked into the kitchen. I got a text from Elton
Elty~: happy birthday Anna !
Anna: thanks so much Elty . Guess what ?
Elty~: was your mom home this morning
Anna: how did you know also she got me a gift this year!😊
Elty~: I guessed well I'll be there in 30 k?
Anna: yeah
I put my phone down and got ready. I curled my blueish hair

I did little makeup and put on a faded pink crop sweater in with some mint green pants and a grey beanie I walked over to my nightstand and grabbed my glasses and pushed them up my nose. I grabbed my also grey vans slipped them on my feet and tied them . I picked up my backpack and walked downstairs.

"Hey sweetie I love your outfit."my mom said
"Thanks Mum."I said grabbing a plate and eating eggs and bacon that my mum made.
" thanks for breakfast Mum I'll wash this when I get home .is that ok?"I asked nervously.you see if I asked my dad that he would have hit me for even asking. My mum looked at me funny before saying
" I'll just wash it right now it's your birthday anyway. Oh and sweetie I won't be home until late ok?" I nodded and walked out the front door just as Elton pulled in my driveway. I waved at him , he waved back at me motioning me to get in the car .
" hey Anna I have a surprise for you later ok?" He said . I nodded as a response we headed to the school once we arrived I got out and earned a lot of stares
" Elton why the hell is everyone looking at me ?"I asked nervously.
"I'm not sure maybe because you've changed a lot over the summer?"-Elton. I look over at him and nod. We walk in as we walk past people everyone's whispering
"Who is she?"
"Is She new"
"That's Anna no way"
"What happened to her ?"
" heard she got plastic surgery. There's no way she just changed THAT much over the summer."
I rolled my eyes and kept walking to my locker luckily Eltons locker is next to mine .
"Can you believe they think I got plastic surgery. Ha I don't have the money for that and even if I did I wouldn't waste it on that I love my body." I say slightly more annoyed that I thought. Elton looks just behind me and his eyes go wide .
" Elton want is it ?" He just grabs my shoulders and turns me around and I see him Colby my crush sense forever standing at his locker which happens to be right in the other side of mine . He looks up and smiles at me  I kinda just stood there frozen when Colby speaks up
" you know it's impolite to stare ." I blush and cover my face with my hands . Colby grabs my hands and says
" hey don't be embarrassed. It's Anna right?"
"Y....yeah how'd you know ?"I say mentally facepalming.
" we've gone to the same school sense kindergarten and your the talk of the school right now ."
" I swear whatever they are saying isn't true."
" I know " he whispered into my ear before winking at me and walking to his friend Sam . I turned to Elton and collapsed against my locker.
" omg Colby Brock just talked to me. I think I might just die." I say
" holy shit Anna  that's the most interest he's shown in a girl ever !" Elton says excitedly. I nod and motion towards the gym we always have a assembly for the freshman and other grades on the first day and it was a half day so that was great. We walked in and found seats at the top of the bleachers I saw Colby walk in with Sam close behind. Colby and I made eye contact for a split second before he walked up to the top of the bleachers and sat down next to me . I instantly glanced at Elton with the look
" what's going on with him" Elton shrugged . Sam sat down on Colby's left side I was on his right side and Elton was on my other side . Colby smiled before saying
"Sam this is Anna ,Anna this is Sam ."
"Ah is your the girl everyone is talking about?" Sam asked . I nodded being the shy potato I am.
The principal stepped up to the podium he picked up the microphone
" WELCOME BACK STUDENTS AND WELCOM FRESHMEN ." and that's all I heard before zoning out while thinking about Colby , I think Colby noticed because he nudged me a few times snapping me back to reality.
" What were you thinking about?"He whispered
"Nothing." I say blushing. Colby raised an eyebrow before whispering
"When did I become nothing?" I looked at him with a shocked face .
" you said my name it was quiet but you said it ." He said . I turned a new shade of red.
" why where you thinking about me Anna ?" He asked directing his attention to me. I blushed and said something I never thought I would ever say
" I .....I l.....l...likeyoualot." I spat that last part out fast before covering my face I was embarrassed.
He smiled and said
" I know ." I looked at him with this shocked look on my face. Next thing I know is Colby's lips are on mine and I was taken back at first but then melted into the kiss. He pulled away and looked at my face was reder than Red I buried my face in my hands he moved my hands and smiled at me
" hey why are you blushing so much?"He asked tilting his head a little. Sam and Elton both exchanged "what happened looks" and shrugged.
" I don't know maybe that my crush just kissed me ." I say sarcastically. He chuckles a little . I saw out of the corner of my eye Amanda my main bully glaring at me she's had a major crush on Colby as long as I have me and her use to be friends but she dropped me once we got to middle school. Colby saw it too because he grabbed my cheek with his hands a kissed me more passionately this time deepening the kiss ever so slightly. Sam tapped in his shoulder and said
"Guys if you keep doing that people will start to spread rumors." We pulled away from each other and I tried to listen to the rest of the assembly but I couldn't focus because Colby kept poking my side. Eventually I turned to him a little and whispered
" Colby stop poking me . You've got my attention now what is so important ?" He smiles and said
" happy birthday." Kissing me on the cheek and then he slipped something onto my middle finger I looked down and saw a ring it was so pretty . It was a thin gold band with a heart in the middle .

" Thanks ." I wisher . He nodded . We continued to focus on the boring assembly until it was over Sam Colby Elton and I had every class together so I know we were all going to get extremely close. The final bell rang and I went to my locker to put my stuff in my aquamarine backpack. I turned to Elton who said
" you ready for your surprise?"
" yes Elton I'm ready just give me a second I want it say something to Colby ." Elton smirked at me .
" so what did you want to say to me ?" Colby says all cocky.
" oh I um.... was going to ask for your phone number so we could talk more." I say shyly . He grabbed a pen from his wide open locker and wrote
568-214-1567 on my hand .
" thanks Colby ." He smiles and nods I wave bye and walk out the front doors where more people are whispering about me but I could care less.
