They continued that day, everyone felt grump and tired once more. Thorin felt like the forest is never going to end. "We need to send someone up in a tree to see where we're at exactly." said Thorin. And everyone knew that 'somebody' meant Bilbo, since he was the smallest of the group. "I'll climb the tree and have a look." said Bilbo. "I'll join you, Bilbo!" said Felicity. "You two big careful up there!" called out Christine. "We'll be careful, Christine. Its not like I climbed a tree before. I climbed plenty of trees in my time!" said Felicity. And she followed Bilbo up into the tree. Once they reached the top, they could see the Lonely Mountain in the distance. Bilbo and Felicity smiled as they saw many butterflies flying around them. Felicity had never seen butterflies that big in her lifetime. Yes, she seen the Monarch butterflies that can get big, but these butterfiles are much larger than the Monarchs. Bilbo and Felicity had been too busy focing on the butterflies, they ignored the cries coming from the others below. "BILBO! FELICITY! HELP!" cried out what sounded like Mary Anne's voice. "Bilbo, we should go down and tell the others what we seen. Besides that, they are calling for us." said Felicity. "You are right, Feicity." said Bilbo.
As they climbed down from the tree, they saw that the Company, and Felicity's sisters are not there. "Where did they go?!" cried out Felicity. "THORIN! CHRISTINE! MARY ANNE!" cried out Bilbo. They could hear the others cry in return, but the cries came from far away, and they couldn't see them. "Something isn't right here, Bilbo." said Felicity gravely. Bilbo unheathed his sword. His sword is glowing. "Something is wrong here." said Bilbo. Suddenly, they heard clicking clacking sounds coming from behind them. "BILBO! SPIDERS!" cried out Felicity, as she turned and seen several large spiders approaching them.Bilbo turned. "Which explains everyone's disappearance! Felicity, RUN!" shouted Bilbo. "What about you, Bilbo?!" cried out Felicity. "I got this, Felicity! Please GO!" hissed Bilbo. Felicity bolted, hoping she would find the others in the forest, while Bilbo took care of the spiders. While Felicity ran, she called out her sisters names. "FELICITY! HELP US!" cried out Mary Anne. "Help us Felicity!" cried out Fili.
She could see where the voices are coming from. They are bounded in spider webs.Felicity withdrawn her sword, and she began rescuing the Company and her sisters from the spider webs. "Now I really hate spiders. I hated them in our world, and I really hate them in this world." grumbled Mary Anne. "Thank you, Felicity. Where's Bilbo?" asked Fili. "He will be with us shortly. He's killing the spiders." replied Felicity. Bilbo shortly came in."You're alright, Bilbo?" asked Christine quickly. "I'm fine--just killed off several spiders." panted Bilbo.Thorin smiled. "You really indeed have become quite a warrior, Mister Baggins." said Thorin. "Thank you." said the hobbit, blushing. Suddenly, several more spiders approached them, but they were killed off by two elves. One elf had blonde hair, and the other a female elf, with red hair. After killing off the spiders, the blonde elf, followed by the red haired elf, approached them. The Blonde haired elf, is Prince Legolas, Thranduil's son, he looked at the coming aiming his bow at Thorin and the company. "Don't make me have to kill you dwarf! Search them!" ordered the Elf Prince. Tauriel began searching the company, alongside with Legolas.
Legolas first took a locket from Gloin that the dwarf had been wearing. "HEY! That's private!" snapped Gloin. "Who is this, your brother?" asked Legolas. "No, that is my wife!" snapped Gloin. "And who is this ugly creature? An orc mutant?" asked the Elf Prince again. "That is my wee lad, Gimli!" Gloin replied. Felicity and Mary Anne tried not to laugh at this. The two of them knew sixty years in the future Legolas and Gimli would become very close friends. But they kept their mouths shut. Legolas, now picking up Thorin's sword Orcrist, looking it over. "How did you come by this sword?" asked the Elf Prince. "That's none of your damn business!" snapped Thorin hotly. "Take them to Father for questioning." Legolas ordered Tauriel in their language. Pretty soon, the company found themselves in custody of the elves, as they made their way to the Elf King's palace. Christine had dreaded this moment, because it appeared it one of her nightmares. And she hoped these nightmares and visions she had been having would not come true.
