Thorin's POV:
I woke up and found Christine, laying next to me on the bed. Her features filled with emotion and worry. "Thorin, you're awake!" whispered Christine. "Yes, I'm awake." I said sadly. "Thorin, I am so sorry for what happened today. Balin told me all about it. I really don't know what to say." said Christine. "Chrisitne, you're marrying a bad king." I said sadly, turning my head away from Christine, not showing her any signs of weakness. "Thorin Oakenshield, you are not a bad kiing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. This problem will be resolved, even if I have a say in it." said Christine. "Christine, I don't know. Its a real big mess now. Everyone now knows of Sophiana and Larkur's execution. I have a feeling something terrible is going to happen." I said. "Don't tell me a protest attack!" gasped Christine. I nodded. "No, no. Thorin, it cannot be possible." said Christine. "I wish I could take a time out away for a while. The two of us." I said. "But we're not even married yet." protested Christine. "Just a mini trip? I need to get a way. I can leave Fili in charge. Besides that, he needs the training." I said. "Alright, if you and I want to go on a small trip, we can. But after we resolve this matter first before it gets out of hand. Thorin, show them who is strong here. Don't let them intimate you." said Christine.
I smiled. "You make a very good queen, my love. You are so filled with wisdom and words. "Tomorrow morning, we're going to get this issue resolved one way or the other, Thorin. A war between dwarves versus dwarves is not going to happen. I won't let it happen. The last thing we need is another war, we just got done having one." said Christine. "And you are right. I'm going to make things right, and make a public speech tomorrow." I said firmly. "And I want to speak too." said Christine. I grinned. "Yes, you will be Queen. And you shall speak!" I whispered ,kissing Christine on the lips. "I love you, Thorin. And nothing is going to change that." whispered Christine. "I love you too, Chris." I whispered, as I pulled Christine in my arms, and we kissed passionately.
No One's POV:
The next morning, Thorin made plans for his 'addressing nations' speech. Thorin sent Balin to Dale, Lake Town and Mirkwood to announce of Thorin's address, and he told Balin he wants everyone to meet in Lake Town, where he will state his address. After Balin left, Thorin retreated to his office, to write out his speech, with Christine at his side. He had ordered everyone not to disturb them while he and Christine worked on their speeches. Felicity and Mary Anne felt excited about this. This was going to be Thorin's first speech as King, although not crowned yet. They knew that Thorin had to set things right before the situation. FIve hours later, Balin returned letting Thorin know everything isset, and everyone will gather in Lake Town in the evening. Thorin and Christine had ust finished their speeches in time. "You're not nervous are you, Thorin?" asks Christine, noticed Thorin, looking out the window. "I'm not nervous, Christine." said Thorin stubbornly. Christine released a snort laughter. "What?" said Thorin. "Yeah right, Thorin. You are too nervous. I can see it in your eyes, plain as the nose on my face." said Christine, grinning.
Thorin approached her, playfully tossing her in his arms. "You want to say that again to my face?" purred Thorin jokingly. "You're nervous, your're nervous, ha ha ha!" said Christine in a sing song voice. "Oh, you!" purred Thorin, and he kissed Christine on the lips. As they kissed, Balin enters the office. "Are we ready to go?" asked Balin. "Balin, you could've knocked you know." snarled Thorin. "My apologies Thorin, but everyone's ready to go." said Balin. Thorin and Christine looked at each other. "Well this is it. Its our time." smiled Thorin. "Lets get this show on the road." said Christine. And so they made their way into Lake Town. Thorin and Christine stood on a small stage centeredin the townsquare. Many of Lake Town's locals are there, as well as people, dwarves and men, of Dale, Dwarves of Ered Luin, and other dwarves from other realms. Thranduil and his elves arrived. Many of the dwarves scowled when they saw Thorin stood in front of them. Thranduil approaches Thorin. "A word of advice from personal experience, Thorin. Don't let them over run you." said Thranduil. Thorin grinned. "I will take that advice, normally I won't take advice, but that one I'll consider." said Thorin. Christine chuckled.
