Christine's POV:
I sighed with relief as I saw the life returned to Mary Anne. My healing powers worked well. But I felt horrible for not believing that Mary spoken the truth that the Elf King had brain washed her. I felt terrible, as well as Felicity and the dwarves. It seemed that the only one of the company who truly believed her is Bilbo, and it was Bilbo who showed us that Mary had spoken the truth. I sat down. Mary Anne looked up at me, as Bofur still held her. "Chris, why did you do that?" asked Mary Anne. "I don't want to lose you, Mary Anne. Mary Anne, I'm really sorry for not believing you. You were telling the truth, and we didn't listen. We have failed you, Mary, and its all my fault!" I said as tears streaming down my face. Mary Anne slowly sat up, Bofur releasing his hold on her "Christine, I didn't snap out of until Bilbo kissed me shortly before we made our way into the dungeons. And that is when I snapped out of it." said Mary Anne. Bofur looked sad. "You're in love with Bilbo are you? I thought you loved me?" asked Bofur. "Bofur, please don't make this difficult on me right now. I already got 99 problems alredy. I feel confused, and lost, that's why I done what I done." explained Mary Anne. "Well it doesn't mean you have to go off and do that Mary Anne! Killing yourself wouldn't solve anythinig, it would just make things worse!" I said to my sister.
"The lass is right. Even if you choose Bilbo over me. I understand. I'm not upset. Can we still be friends, right?" asked Bofur. "Of course we can still be friends Bofur. You've always been my friend since the day we met!" said Mary Anne. Bofur and Mary Anne hugged. I sighed. Everything is now right with everyone now. But now we have to face Bard the Stubborn Ass Bowman, who rudely interrupted our crisis situation. As I sat down next to Thorin, Thorin wrapped his arm around me. "Bard said we can camp tonight, and we'll leave to Lake Town tomorrow." said Thorin. I nodded. And the two of us sat in silence for a while. "How is Mary Anne?" asked Thorin, breaking the silence. "She's doing much, much better. And by the way, she and Bofur decided to be just friends. Her and Bilbo are becoming an item now." I said to Thorin. Thorin burst into laughter. He could never imagine Bilbo being the romantic type. "What's so funny, Thorin?" I asked. "The thought of Bilbo being a romantic is funny." smirked Thorin. I playfully slapped Thorin in the shoulder. "Thorin Oakenshield!" I said in a firm and playful tone. "I really love it when you tease me like that!" grinned Thorin, and he took me into his arms, planting a long kiss on my lips. We didn't realize that the others are watching, and we could hear everyone chanting 'Awe' at the same time.
"Get a room!" called out Mary Anne. She's back. My dear old happy go lucky sister is back. Everyone laughed at her words, even Bard chuckled.
No one's POV:
The next morning, the company boarded the boat with Bard, and they begin their journey into Lake Town. Christine sat with Thorin, Felicity sat with FIli and Kili. Felicity had to keep a close eye on Kili. She could see the young dwarf is not feeling well at all. Mary Anne sat with Bilbo and Bofur. Bilbo wrapped his arm around Mary Anne. Thorin kept staring at Bard, not trusting this man, but grateful to him that the man is helping them. As they drew closer to Lake Town, Thorin stood up and smiled. The other dwarves too smiled, as they see the Lonely Mountain ahead of them. "We're getting closer to our home." said Thorin softly. "Its a beautiful mountain." said Christine. "You just wait until you see the inside!" grinned Thorin, pulling Christine close to him, Christine's back facing his chest, while Thorin wrapped his arms around her, as they stood, looking at the mountain. Once they arrived in town, Bard asked the company to hide in barrels of fish, to keep their identity hidden. Bard warned them that the Master has been watching Bard's home. "So I take it we might deal with some nosy people are. Great! That's all we need." grumbled Felicity. "Its bad enough we're being chased by orcs, now we have to deal with nosy people." said Mary Anne. "Shhh!" hissed Bilbo.
