Prologue
Thorin and his companions alongside with Bilbo arrived at the Mountain pass as it started storming badly."We must seek shelter!" called out Thorin to the others. Suddenly, something caught their attention. Two large stone people appeared, throwing boulders at each other, shaking the entire mountain. "Bless my beard! The legends are true! Stone Giants!" exclaimed Bofur. "What in the world!" cried out Bilbo, pointing ahead of them. "What is going on?!" barked Thorin. A large portal opened in front of them, and like vaccum, a heavy gust of wind picked up the entire company, throwing them into a portal. "Something is right! This shouldn't be happening!" yelled Balin. An hour later, the company fell, and they landed in green grass. They noticed they were no longer in the Misty Mountains."Where are we? What is going on here?" shouted Thorin. "Central Park?" asked Fili with a puzzled look as he looked up at a green sign. "We're not supposed to be at this Central Park! What in Durin's name is going on?" barked Thorin.
"Thorin, this portal has transported us somewhere. We're not in Middle Earth, I'm afraid." said Balin sadly. "This cannot be happening! Not now!" yelled Thorin. "Thorin calm down, lets sit down and make camp, and we'll think of how to handle this situation. "I'll light a fire." said Gloin. But no sooner as Gloin lit a fire, they saw a man dressed in a all black uniform with metals on his shirt and a hat. "Excuse me, gentlemen. But lighting a fire is against a law in a public park!" said the man. "And who do you think you are telling us how to camp!" snarled Thorin, approaching the man. The man looked at them with a puzzled look. "Are you supposed to be going to a convention? The New York Rennaisance Convention is two blocks down." said the man. "I have no idea what are you talking about sir. But could you at least tell us where we are?" asked Thorin, in a much calmer tone. "You're in New York City." said the man. "This isn't right. We're supposed to be walking pass the Mountain Pass to get to Beorn's home." said Balin.
"You're lost?" asked the offer. "Yes, as a matter of fact we are. And we need help getting unlost." said Bilbo grumpily. "I don't know what to tell you then. I have no idea these places you are talking about!" said the officer, and he walked away.
