No One's POV:

It was early evening, and everyone gathered in the dining room to eat.  There wasn't much talking, because there was still saddness and grief of the days events hitting every one, especially Felicity and Mary Anne. "Do you think Christine is okay?" asked Felicity. "I don't know. We haven't seen her or Uncle Thorin much all day or evening." said Fili. No sooner as FIli said that, to their surprise, they saw Thorin and Christine entering the dining hall, hand in hand and smiling. Everyone looked at each other, and then at the couple entering the room. "Did you two kiss and make up?" asked Balin. "Yes, we've talked quite a bit, and everything is alright now." said Thorin. Christine gave Thorin a nudge."Enough about us, Thorin, before you even started eating, you should go and talk to two certain young dwarves." Christine whispered. Thorin nodded, and he walked towards Fili and Kili. "Listen, I know we haven't talked much lately, we should talk now. I almost lost Christine, I cannot bear to lose you two." said Thorin gently. Kili and Fili looked at each other. "Kili, Gandalf is right, I haven't been a good role model for you and your brother, or a good king either. But I promise you, I will make things right for you. If your mother found out about this, she would kill me." said Thorin.

Fili and Kili remained silent, as they listened to Thorin speak.  "Kili, Gandalf informed me of your courtship with Tauriel. You have my blessing. She has saved your life, and my gift of thanks to her, is my blessing for you and Tauriel to court." smiled Thorin. Kili's eyes lit up in surprise, and the young dwarf  felt so moved of his Uncle's words, he burst into tears. Thorin embraced Fili and Kili. "I will never fail you again, I promise. You are like sons to me. And if I lost the two of you, I  will be lost." whispered Thorin. Everyone smiled as they watched Thorin embracing his nephews, and whispering to them. Balin too, wiped a tear from his eye and smiled. "That's what I like to see." whispered Balin.   "Will you accept my apology?" asked Thorin. "Apology accepted!" said Fili and Kili heartily together, as they hugged their Uncle tightly. Thorin kissed both of his nephews on their foreheads and spoken some words in Khuzudul.  "Rise my lads, its time to eat." smiled Thorin, as his nephews stood  up, and they joined the others at the dining room table.

"Gandalf, Bard and Thranduil will be arriving later. Also Dain and the dwarves of the Iron Hills are on their way." Balin informed Thorin over dinner. To everyone's surprise, Thorin didn't get angry at the mention of Bard and Thranduil's name. "You're not angry, Thorin. What's wrong?" asked Dwalin. "Gandalf is right. Its time to let bygones be bygones. Tonight, I will offer Bard and Thranduil a share of the treasure." smiled Thorin. "YES!" chirped Christine, and everyone cheered. Even Kili smiled. He knew the sickness had worn off on him, thanks to Balin, Gandalf, Christine, and FIli and Kili who were all involved in helping Thorin. "Guys, I came on this journey with Gandalf to help save Thorin. But it isn't just me you have to thank, because I wasn't alone. First, we must thank Gandalf, Fili, Kili and Balin who have talked to him, encouraged him. Without you, we would've lost Thorin forever. I want to make a toast of this! Hear hear!" said Christine, raising her glass. "Hear, hear!" everyone chanted, and they took their drinks.

It was shortly after dinner, the guests arrived, and Bilbo  came with them. Bilbo decided to sit away from the others. Christine noticed Bilbo sitting alone. "Don't start the meeting just yet." Christine whispered to Thorin. "Why?" asked Thorin. "Look!" said Christine, pointing over to a sad looking hobbit sitting by himself. Thorin smiled, and stood up, approaching Bilbo. Since Thorin already made amends with Christine, Fili and Kili. It was time he made amends with the Hobbit. It was because of him, he would've still been still under the gold sickness. It was mainly Bilbo who saved him. "MIster Baggins, do you have a minute?" asked Thorin. Bilbo quickly stood up and backed away. "Bilbo, I won't hurt you, its okay, calm down." said Thorin. Bilbo relaxed, and he sat down. "First and foremost, I  want to apologize for my words to you at the Front Gate. Your intentions are very good, Bilbo and because of you, you saved me from becoming a monster like Smaug, as Christine puts it. You saved my life again, Bilbo. I want to thank you personally for it." said Thorin. Bilbo stood up and bowed.
