No one's POV:
Thorin and Christine sat. "We're never going to get out of here." said Christine sadly. "Don't you worry, Chris. We will get out of here. Hopefully our burglar will arrive here shortly." said Thorin. "Thorin, don't take this the wrong way, but the hobbit has a name, you know." said Christine. "Okay, then Mr. Baggins." said Thorin, rolling his eyes. Why does she have to be so bloody damn difficult?! thought the dwarf. Suddenly, they could hear footsteps in the dungeons corridors. And they shortly hear a voice call out to them. "Thorin! Christine! I'm here to help you escape!" said the voice. Christine and Thorin turned and saw Bilbo holding up the cell keys smiling at them. "BILBO!" exclaimed Thorin and Christine together, standing up approaching the bars. Bilbo unlocked the cell, and they walked out. After releasing the rest of the company, they followed Bilbo into the wine cellar. The company didn't know that Mary Anne is behind them, according to how the hobbit and the woman had planned it. Mary Anne didn't want to be noticed yet, and she feared that once they notice her, all hell would break lose, especially between herself and her sisters. Mary Anne realized she was under the influence of the Elf King, and now as they were getting ready to escape, she felt back to her normal self, desiring to see Bofur once more. But she knew after what she had done, the dwarves will never allow her back in the company again. She had a feeling that Bofur knew of this betrayal she done. It really wasn't her fault.
It took Bilbo to realize she was under a spell, the Elf King's spell, to turn her against the company. And it took one kiss to do that. Now Mary Anne felt confused. She didn't know whether to love Bofur, or Bilbo. She dismissed those thoughts aside. All she wanted now is to get as far away from the elves as soon as possible. After everyone climbed into the barrels, Mary Anne climbed in last, which her barrel ended up close to Bofur's. Mary Anne noticed Bofur. "Bofur!" hissed Mary Anne. Bofur turned to Mary Anne and looked at her, but he didn't look to happy. Bofur angrily glared at her and then he turned away."Bofur! I'm sorry-I'm really truly sorry, it wasn't my fault what happened earlier! Bofur please!" Mary Anne pleaded. But Bofur ignored her. He seen what happened, and it broken his heart. He thought he loved her. And what he had witnessed when they arrived athte Palace crushed his heart to pieces, and he would never forgive her. Normally is very forgiving in nature, but this ordeal, he couldn't find himself to forgive Mary Anne. Mary Anne bowed her head, tears streaiming down her face. It was as she feared. He is angry with her. She could imagine the others feel the same.
Bilbo pulled the lever, releasing all the barrels into the water. Bilbo released a mistake he did. The trap door the opened quickly close as the last of the barrels fell into the water, leaving Bilbo alone in the cellar. Bilbo pulled the lever again, opening the door, and he jumped into the water, quickly swimming to Mary Anne's barrel. Bilbo could see that Mary Anne is feeling sad. Bilbo didn't want to ask her what troubled her, knowing it had something to do with Bofur. Christine looked out over her and Thorin's barrel, and she saw Mary Anne in a barrel. "What in the hell is she doing out here?!" asked Christine loudly. "Who?" asked Thorin, and he looked in the same direction as Christine. "Oh!" scowled Thorin. Thorin knew this wasn't going to end well once they reached land, seeing that Mary Anne had joined them. Thorin had a bad feeling that Mary Anne is plotting something against them, which is why she is following them. Thorin didn't want to say his feelings about it to Christine, knowing how she would react.
As they floated along the river, they came to a stop when they saw a gate closed in front of them. "Damn it!" swore Thorin, he had a feeling Mary Anne had something to do with the closed gate. Suddenly, they saw many elves approaching the bridge, he could see that they were the ones that closed the gate, but Thorin also noticed an army of orcs ambushing the elves, and there started a battle between the orcs and elves. Meanwhile, Kili climbed out of his barrel. His intention was to climb on top of the bridge to pull the lever that would open the gate. By the time Kili nearly is half way on top of the bridge, two arrows struck the dwarf in the knee, and Kili collapsed. "KILI!" cried out Fili from below the bridge. Tauriel jumped out, killing two orcs who shot at Kili. Kili slowly stood up while all that happened, and he reached for the lever, pulling it, opening the front gate. Kili then jumped back into his barrel, yelping in pain. "Kili!" cried out Feiicity. She could see that the young dwarf is hurt. Tauriel looked at Kili. Please keep safe, young dwarf. Someday our paths will cross again, Tauriel spoke to Kili through his mind. Kili managed a smile. I hope we meet again soon, Captain Tauriel! Kili replied back, and he turned away from her.
