The next morning, everyone gathered in the dining room for breakfast. Felicity was feeling frustrated over her older sister becoming 'distracted' from the task she was supposed to be doing of helping the dwarves return to Middle Earth. She noticed Christine had been way too busy 'up Thorin's ass' as she puts it. Mary Anne didn't mind it, she knew Christine is happy with Thorin in her life, but she also knew that her older sister is involved in a very risky relationship that may or may not last. "Christine, we need to talk." said Felicity. "Not right now, Felicity. I'm going to pick out something to wear for my date with Thorin tonight." said Christine. "Christine,we need to talk about this now! Its about you and Thorin." said Felicity, gravely. Christine spun around and glared at her sister. "We're not going down this road again, are we?" snapped Christine hotly. "Christine, lets step outside for a few minutes." said Felicity. And the two of them stepped outside onto the backyard patio. "If you want to talk, lets talk!" said Christine angrily, crossing her arms. "Christine, you really shouldn't get to attached to Thorin! You know eventually they have to go back to continue to their quest, don't you? You are distracting Thorin for doing his job as leader of the company." said Felicity.
"Don't tell me something I already know, Felicity! I know that he's got this important quest he's got to finish! And, yes! I've been busy reading in my spell books! You really think that I'm just lazing around the house thinking about Thorin all the time?! I do NOT! For once,Felicity! Do you even care of my happiness at all?!" barked Christine. "Christine, he's a fictional character! He's not real! You know these circumstances is going to turn dire. I don't want to see you hurt, Christine. I'm only looking out for you that's all!" said Felicity. "Felicity, you don't see my point here. I know of their quest, and I know they are wanting to get back. Yes, it will pain me to see them leave, especially Thorin. But I have a way that I can transport myself to Middle Earth to see Thorin." said Christine. "Christine, your magic is not strong enough yet to do that." protested Felicity. "Why do you always find a negative to my positive, Felicity? You always do this to me! Don't you care about my happiness at all?! This discussion is over!" barked Christine, and she stormed back inside the house.
Felicity sighed. What am I going to do with her? Felicity thought, as she went back inside the house. Later that afternoon,Christine and Thorin went out on their outing. Christine packeda picnic basket filled with food, two glasses, and a bottle of red wine. Christine knew Thorin liked red wine. They shortly arrived at the park, and they made a spot underneath a large willow tree, nearby a lake. They sat down on a blanket that Christine spread out,. Thorin sat down cross legged next to Christine. "Tell me Christine, have you figured out what happened to us when we came here?" asked Thorin. "You must've read my mind, Thorin. That's exactly what I'm going to talk to about. I have found something, and I have figured out a way of getting your and your companions back to where you need be." said Christine, and her face clouded in saddness. She knew Thorin had to leave, and Felicity had warned her as well. "Christine, its going to be very difficult to part from you." whispered Thorin, saddness clouded over him. He placed his hand gently on Christine's face. "We will never see each other again, are we?" asked Christine. Thorin bowed his head. "Yes." gulped Thorin, trying to hide tears from his eyes. Then he looked back into Christine's eyes again.
"I am never going to forget you, Christine. You know that." said Thorin. "I know!" said Christine softly, and she broke down in sobs. Thorin took Christine into his arms, holding her tightly. Christine buried her head against Thorin's broad chest. "Christine, I wish there is a way for you to come and visit me." whispered Thorin. "I might have a way, but I have to strengthen my magic first." said Christine. "But you told me you're a witch! I thought witches have powerful magic." said Thorin. "Thorin, Felicity, Mary Anne are still learning our powers." said Christine. "Christine, you can do anything if you set your mind to it. I can easily tell you are not weak." said Thorin. "You really think so?" said Christine. "I really think so." smiled Thorin, gently stroking Christine's hair. "I love you, Thorin!" said Christine softly. "I love you too, Christine!" whispered Thorin. Thorin leaned over, planting his lips over hers, kissing her deeply and passionately. When the kiss broke, Christine looked at Thorin and grinned. "Follow me!" said Christine standing up. "Where are we going?" asked Thorin. "You'll see!" said Christine.
