Thorin's POV:

I stood there, trying to figure out why Christine backed away from me in fear. I knew she is having her nightmares again. I stood and realized, thinking to myself I have changed a lot since I arrived here, and I felt bad for not allowing her to join me in our room tonight. I didn't understand myself why I had done that.  I sat down beside Christine, and I watched the others leave the room, allowing me to be alone with Gandalf's oldest daughter.  "Christine, calm down. I won't  hurt you, just calm down!"  I said softly to Christine, taking her into my arms, pulling her close to my chest. "You had another nightmore, did you?" I asked softly. Christine nodded. "You wouldn't mind telling me about it?" I asked her. "I can't. This one is the worst of my nightmares, and I really hope it doesn't come true." mumbled Christine."Christine, its okay. You can tell me." I said to Christine softly, as I  began stroking her hair. Christine took a deep breath, and she began telling me of her nightmare. Hearing this stunned me. Why would I draw my sword at Bilbo for? And slapping her? I would never hurt her. I nearly hurt her twice, and I promised Christine I would never hurt her again. "I'm hoping this doesn't come true either." I said softly.  We sat there quietly for a while. "I'm sorry I didn't allow you to join me in our room. Come, you look too uncomfortable on the couch!" I said. I picked up Christine, and I carried her up to our room.

As we arrived in our room, I gently laid Christine on the bed, I climbed in next to her, taking her into my arms. I closed my eyes, and started to sing an old dwarven lullaby that I sung to my nephews when they were younger. I sang in a loud tone, but gentle, so everyone could hear me. And as I sang loudly from the heart and with great pride, I look down at my slumbering beloved, her ear pressing on my chest.  I vowed to myself I would do everything I can to keep her.

No one's POV:

Meanwhile, downstairs Tauriel had to take a break. She tried everything she could to help Kili. Everyone quickly fell silent. "Isn't that Uncle Thorin singing?" asked Fili. "Yes, that is Thorin singing." said Felicity. Tauriel stood in awe, as she listened to the beautiful deep rumbling vocals of the dwarf.  "I recognize that song. He sung that to us as a lullaby when Kili and I were little." said Fili sadly. Fili slowly approached to where Kili is laying, taking Kili's hand. Fili closed his eyes, and he began singing along with his Uncle. He remembered the words well. The next morning, everyone woke up, and to everyone's surprise, Kili woke up!  "KEE!" cried out Fili. "What happened?" asked Kili. "You passed out last night during the feast, remember?" asked Fili. "I don't remember anything at all." said Kili. Tauriel approached them. "Come, lets get in you in your armor. You will be leaving to the Mountain soon." said Tauriel, helping Kili up. "Tauriel, how did you?" asked Kili, confused on why Tauriel is there. "I decided to abandon my job as Captain. I want to be with you, Master Kili." said Tauriel. Kili smiled, and blushed.  Thorin and Christine came down stairs. Thorin now dressed in full armor. Christine couldn't help but stare at him. He truly looked like a King in his armor.

Once everyone is dressed, they met outside on the boat. Felicity and Mary Anne noticed Kili started to slow down again. "Kili? Are you alright?!" asked Mary Anne. "I'm fine, Mary Anne." said Kili. "No, you're not! You look like you're feeling bad again. Sit down and rest, brother." said Fli gently. "Okay." grumbled Kili, and he sat down. Once everyone climbed into the boat, Kili approached the boat, now looking worse than he did last night. "Not you, you're staying here." said Thorin. "But I want to go! Please let me go! For years I dreamt of this to day to see our home! Please let me go!" begged Kiil. "Please stay, Kili. Return to the Mountain when you are healed." said Thorin softly.  Fili climbed out of the boat. "Please let him come! I will carry him I must!" pleaded Fili. "I will not risk the quest for a dwarf, even my own kin!" said Thorin coldly. The words angered Christine. How could he say that about his own kin that way, especially his nephew?  It even angered Felicity. "What in the hell is your problem, Thorin? That is your nephew you're talking about here!! Well if  he's not going I'm not going!" shouted Felicity, climbing out of the boat. Fili stood beside Felicity and Kili. "Someday Fili will be King, he will undertand this." said Thorin.  Fili growled.   "Get in the boat, Fili." said Thorin.
