Chapter 70: Distraction

Baekhyun's POV
"Bye." I told Hera through the phone, smiling. Finally, I'm holding my phone. The maknaes and Chanyeol gave me the phone when Minseok-hyung told them to give it to me and give me and Hera our alone time. I thank hyung for that. "Bye." She said, and I just chuckled, my head laying on the headboard of my bed. Yup, I'm already in bed. We already ate dinner, so I just need to sleep, but Hera is my distraction... my beautiful distraction.

I heard her chuckle from the other line. I'm sure she has her hand on her mouth again. How did I become this lucky? This lucky to have her? "Bye." She said for the umpteenth time. We already said too many goodbyes, but we're not ending the call. I grinned. "Bye." I told her. "Aigoo, How many times have we said goodbye?" She asked the same thing on my mind, then added "Bye." but she's still on-call.

I chuckled. "Bye?" I told her, but making it sound like a question. "Say goodbye one more time." She said and chuckled. I smiled. "Bye." I said and heard another chuckle from her. "Alright, I'm gonna end it." She said, and I just smiled. "End it... Bye." I told her. "I'm really gonna do it." She said, chuckling. I grinned. "Do it.~" I told her, just making our conversation longer. We always have our phone calls like this.

"Alright, I'm really gonna end it... Bye!" She said, and I just chuckled, letting my head slide from the headboard to my pillow. I'm just smiling, contented. "Ahjussi, I'll call you later, arasso?" She asked. "Pfft, Stop calling me that." I told her, but grinning as I put my hand on my nape, and face the side of the wall. She chuckled. "Bye." She said, and I let out a breath then smiled again. "I'll call you later." I said, although she said she will. She just chuckled. "Alright. Bye." She said, and she ended the call.

I closed my eyes, smiling. Then I open it, facing nothing but the wall. I then heard the door open. I look at who it is, Chanyeol. He plopped down on his bed. His head buried on the cushion. "Anyway hyung... Do manager-hyung knows about you and Hera?" He asked. I look at him by that. I sighed. "Don't tell him." I told him.

"But... Don't you think he'll be happy? It's also good for him, for them." He asks. I just smiled, remembering hyung-nim's words.

"I'm a coward, don't be like me. If you love, you should be proud... and that's not what I'm doing. I just need the right time." He said, looking down but I still notice he now has a smile that came from the bottom of his heart. He puts his gaze on me. "Thank you."

I smiled. "Hyung has too many things to manage. Let him be." I told him. "But..." He said and just heaved a sigh, knowing what I'm saying. I chuckled. "It's hard when two cowards are there for each other... Time has passed, but he still haven't find the right time." I said, hearing another sigh from Chanyeol. "What do you mean?... Why are you talking like that? It doesn't sound like you." He said, chuckling. "What I'm saying is... we're both cowards at the time being. I need to find the right time to say it to everyone, not just to hyung." I said and smiled... I just don't know when the right time is, but it will happen, it has to.

Five minutes passed from my conversation with Chanyeol, and now he's asleep. I look at my phone on my side. I sighed and faced the wall. I took my phone that's laying on my bed, and turn it on. My lock screen is a picture of me and my mom. I smiled before putting my pincode on, and unlock the phone. I'm going to call Hera. Hera.. My wallpaper is a picture of us. It was a picture taken by Sehun on Christmas, when the we were talking to each other. At the picture, we look like we're smiling but we were talking that time. I don't know, maybe both. Her head was on my shoulder, our eyes at each other.

I don't even know that Sehun took a photo that moment. Plus, Sehun is not good at taking pictures definitely when it comes to selfies, but that picture looks perfect. I'm thanking him. I might be overprotective to Hera from Sehun, but I gotta admit Sehun is our shipper. (Also, Sehun's looks are enough to make any picture of him good.👌)
