Devin's POV
I have no idea what these kids look like.
Me: Shiiiiiiit...
At least I was able to borrow Matt's Jeep to drive down here. What were their names again?
As I walk up the stairs thinking of their names, a boy...ehem or should I say young man, sprints past me knocking his shoulder into some lockers on the way. He had blond hair, and was wearing jeans with a black hoodie. I was about to run after him as a girl waaaaay shorter than him runs by screaming her lungs out.
???: TYLER!!! JUST WAIT FOR MOM, DON'T DO ANYTHING RASH!
Her blonde hair was bouncing up and down in a high ponytail as she ran towards the boy's direction. Jeez! What am I doing watching high school drama! I gotta find those kid's so Matt's patient calms down back there...
Seriously though, what were their names? OH! Maybe those kids back there will know if I describe the mother to them!
Me: HEY! WHERE'D YOU GUYS GO?!
~•~•~•~
I can hear the girl from before grasping for air as if she had just crawled out of a house fire. Should I just approach her and ask if she knows where um, shit...what's their faces are?
Before I was able to open my mouth a voice from around the corner cuts me off.
???: May I help you?
The girl started to back away towards me, I guess she hadn't heard me screaming after her because she was scrambling to get away from that man in front of her. She was so shaky that when she laid her hands on my thighs and desperately squeezed her hands into fists it took her a good ten seconds to react. Only gasping when she realized I wasn't the railing...
She looked into my eyes frightened, almost pleading that I help her from the hell she'd just dove into head first.
Tyler...Tyl-- OH MY GOD
Me: Are the two of you Tyler and Mary-Ann Greene?
The younger man standing in the doorway of the classroom he seemed to be trying to leave stares intently at me.
Me: Uuuh...Is that a yes?
The girl I'm assuming is Mary-Ann, looks at the man then back to me hesitantly shaking her head.
Me: I'll need you both to come with me, your mother sent for me to pick you both up and drive you to the hospital. There's been a--
Before I could finish they both sprint towards the stairway, pausing only to motion me to follow. It seems as though they already have a good idea of how to handle this. Has this happened before? As I stand there asking myself this another man well over forty places a hand on my shoulder, and starts to speak to me in a low menacing tone.
???: You saw nothing today.
Before I had time to reply the man wearing a blue and black plaid shirt, and khakis was already three fourths out of the hall in the other direction of the kids.
Mary-Ann POV
I tried to catch up to Tyler as he briskly strode towards the schools front doors. He stopped, his fist resting against the glass, his shoulders shuttering back and fourth.
Me: Ty...I'm sure she's fine. For now we should call Johnny, to come back.
He turned to stare at me, his dirty blonde hair ruffled into a crow's nest, a single tear dripping from his chin staining his sweatshirt.
