Athena's POV
I can't just leave him here, someone can come at any moment. Who knows when Hermes may show up.
As I grab my medallion and start to think of a place to go where we won't be found a flash of lightning crashed down behind us cracking the ground beneath me. I fought to stay above the surface to fight the intruder away from my childhood friend, but another flash sent me plummeting towards the stony depths of Cronos' lair.
Me: Hey! What the hell is this Cronos? I don't have time for this, I have to get back up there! Phaethon could be in danger, if Hermes finds out--
I looked around and saw, not Cronos sitting on his usual grandfather reclining chair, but standing at his crystal ball. he looked panicked and uneasy. The second I looked back at the hole that I came from, Cronos was towering over me with a stern look on his face.
Me: C-Crono-
Cronos: You cannot let Helios reveal himself to that boy. We will all be in grave danger if he does.
I stared at him blankly processing what he's just said. With anger boiling up inside me I turned away from him.
Me: How could you tell me to do that to him? He could finally be able to become a full god!!
He looked at me with shock on his face then began to laugh.
By the gods! He's actually laughing, laughing. Ugh!
Cronos: Ah...I'm sorry Athena, but your ignorance to this 5,000 year problem is laughable.
I stared at him in awe. My ignorance...?
Cronos: My child, you may be wise, but that surely does not mean you have the answers to every question you've encountered. Please, just this once listen to me. I know of the past, present and future.
Before I could answer, he tapped his wooden staff to the stony floor making me rise up again to join three people I never thought I'd see for awhile.
Eros' POV
Me: Wow babe, thanks for finally joining us. How was your little chat with the broken grandfather clock?
She thought she could throw me a tainted look but I just scoffed and walked closer to her.
Me: We're not your babysitter, why the hell didn't you tell Hermes where you were taking him! We got punished for your dumb decisions!
I looked back at Ares and Apollo leaning over the little brat's limp body.
Athena: You didn't tell my father where we were did you? I still haven't properly talked to him yet.
Pfft poor girl. She thinks we had to tell Zeus where he was, when he could hear his petty breakdown from his temple.
Apollo: We didn't have to...he--
Athena strode towards Apollo lifting him off the ground by his collar.
Athena: What do you mean!? He knows??
Ares shoved his was between the two of them making distance between them as Athena's eyes flashed with worry and rage. You could hear her knuckles cracking under the force of her holding everything back.
Ares: We could all hear the storm from the temple. There was no way of denying that it was him...I'm sorry it had to be this way Athena.
Athena: What do you mean 'this way?'
