Jani's POV
Julia: Mary-Ann, have you seen Tyler? He said he'd be down in a second but when I went to go check on him after a half hour he wasn't even in the room.
Mary-Ann: Maybe he's hooking up with someone.
There's no way in hell that mute is hooking up with someone from my school. He's a loser, and a freak that no one wants to even touch. Sucks that the curse wasn't a myth though.
STOP STOP STOP JANI! You're on Earth you shouldn't be thinking like that! Remember your petition to be with the stars. You won't be here for long so stop thinking about that, he's not worth space in you thoughts.
Julia: I doubt it, he's been having a hard time in school with making friends. Especially with that girl always giving him shit for no reason.
I leaned forward off the wall to get a better reading of the conversation, but with the loud music, and them shifting towards the door it was a struggle to keep up with what they were each saying.
Ugh, do I really have to use the gravel when they step outside to make crappy hearing aids to their conversation? Wait, why am I even bothering? This has nothing to do with me anymore, Phaethon is a petty hu-- I MEAN TYLER! Tyler is a petty human, and always has been!
Julia: I think her name was Jani. She seemed like a sweet girl, but I guess looks can be deceiving. Strange though, she always seems to be in group projects with Tyler and her brother Ryan.
Mary-Ann: You'd think she'd steer clear of him but I guess not. Maybe she's just scared of getting close to him. Maybe she's in love, but doesn't want to believe it!
I stopped in my tracks to see the little twerp wriggling her eyebrows up and down seductively.
Julia: Pfft, fat chance! She's not one to run away from a fight, even if no one else wants to fight her.
What the fuck does that even mean?! I'm not the one starting shit, it's Helios and Athena! hey should've minded their own business and--!
I'm going home.
I took my medallion out, and opened a portal, taking one last look at the mute's help, and the runaway goddess that somehow after all of these centuries is still undercover.
Mary-Ann: You don't know, she could just be damaged beyond repair...or just closed off at this point. She may--
I stepped through the portal only to be called by Cronos. I rejected his command and went straight to my hut.
Just wait Jani, soon you'll be in the stars with the others. Just wait a bit longer.
Zeus' POV
It's been too long. the three of them should've had both Athena and Phaethon by now.
Me: Hermes! I'll be going down to Earth, find Eros, Ares, and Apollo immediately and send them to my temples' jailing. I'll deal with them after I find my favorite nephew.
Hermes: Yes sir! Immediately sir!
I'll have to start his next life, he's seen too much for me to successfully take his memories.
Me: Bring me to Sia Greene of Earth, The United States, The New England area.
My lightning crashes down on me, sending me straight to my dear Sia's door. I walk up the steps, fixing my human form's hair, ready to ring the doorbell when I suddenly feel it.
