"Would you like to hold him Miss?" The nurse carried the small child up to the new mother. She watched intently as the child giggled in her arms.
"N---, no that's alright. Just let hi- her sleep for now." She didn't even glanced down at the child, but kept staring blankly out of the window. The nurse looked at the new born curled up in her arms, then back to her lifeless mother, puzzled by refusing her child.
"But ma'am...it's crucial for a baby to bond with their mother directly after birth so they can develop thei--" The angry new mother whipped her head around to face the pleading nurse and her child with a venomous bite.
"I SAID NO! Now please leave me."
The nurse, stunned as she was, didn't know what this meant for the child. "A-alright, but is her name?"
The new mother looked at her newborn daughter and started to tear up. The young nurse didn't know what what to do, thinking it was her high levels of hormones, she gave her the child, bowed and briskly walked past them both out into the hall.
After she had left, the young mother was left alone weeping with her child in her arms. "My poor boy." She stroked the child's head humming to herself. "You were so close this time. If only he let you both free." The infant just giggled in her arms, with her little eyes still closed. "Please Zeus," she prayed to the ceiling out loud. "Please just let him pass on with his life, stop this silly cycle here..."
The lights flickered throughout the hospital. People screaming and nurses rushing to their aid. Yet no one entered the room with the cursed mother and child. Machines turned off, water fountains stopped running and the air conditioning shutdown.

"Y-you killed them sir. I thought you were going to let them come back this time." Hermes worriedly caught up to Zeus after recovering himself from Athena's arrows, as he briskly walked back up towards his thrown and glanced down at the fallen gods and goddesses.
"How could you do this again?!" Athena rose to her feat in a teary rage, bellowing at her father before her. "Helios surrendered himself to you more than once, and this time so did Phaethon! Why couldn't you just release them...?"
Zeus covered his face with his right hand, rubbing his temples as he sighed to himself. They all stared him down in disbelief. The great ruler of Olympus, frustrated and torn at his current situation.
Eros rises from his place at the floor letting his speech crawl off of his tongue. "Why?"
Zeus got up, walked behind his thrown and out of his own temple leaving everyone behind without another word. He walked all the way down to meet with Cronos and Hades.
Hades was there to greet his brother. "We've been waiting for you brother." He motions for Zeus to sit next to him on the podium.
Cronos looks to Zeus sighing inadvertently, "he'll still take your place on the thrown if you don't take serious action." Zeus sighed and rubbed the achiness out of his eyes.
"I know, I know...But they don't."
He plopped his heads into his hands, burying his face in his palms until he heard the love of all his years crying for him through the clouds. "--lease Zeus! Just for once!"
