We all stand in unison facing off the one man standing in our way to a free future. "Zeus, this is your last chance to step down and release Phaethon's punishment!" Helios stares him down with a passion I've only seen in my mother's eyes on Earth every time she'd been admitted to the hospital for her...episodes.
Zeus looks to the minuscule group of rebels standing at a ready stance across the polished floors from him. He let out a hearty and demanding laugh as he stood from his throne throwing aside the maid tending to him. "You think just because not even a dozen of weak and pathetic Gods and Goddess demand for me to lift a punishment, I will shakily bend a knee?" He cackled even louder making the walls and windows around us shake. "This will get you absolutely no where, especially you Gaia." she stiffens at her name, "did you think that I'd grant your wish after I defeated this mutt of a man, that you of all people sided with?" She lowers her head, pulling it to the side to glance over at me.
"No..." she steps forward dragging her eyes back up to look into the powerful ruler's eyes. "You're right, you won't be able to give me anything after this." She stops and turns back to her father, then back to Zeus. "Because you'll be dead." In an instant she jumps into the air shooting...stones at him? But in a flash the stones turn into beings and pin Zeus to the floor.
Helios runs up with Athena and Maia on his heal, wielding their spears, and crashing roots and vines in through the windows. Aeolus began to float through the air, creating tornadoes as Zeus struggled at the grips of the stone beings and the vines pulsating throughout his arms and legs pinning him to the steps to his throne.
"Wait! Please stop it, you're hurting him!" Only seconds before Helios was able to throw down his heated fists-literally-onto Zeus strangled body, Clymene throws herself upon him in a desperate embrace to protect him from the rebellious fury. Instead he slams it on the marbled floor next to them sending a heatwave across the room shattering the windows and cracking the floor beneath us.
"Mother..." Maia loosens her grip on Zeus, walking up to Clymene with a puzzled look. "W-why are you still here?" Before she could answer her daughter Zeus threw his hand in Maia's direction, an annoyed expression plastered across his face. He stands staring down at Maia, as lightning flaces through the room in her direction. Before anyone could comprehend what was happening, Aeolus had jumped in the lightnings' path, and had fallen to the darker side of the room.
"NOOOOOOOO!" A single tear rolls down my face as I sprint towards my limp brother's body.
"Zeus you bastard, she let you go!" Helios hurdles a raging stream of light at Zeus, only to be met with a bolt of lightning crashing right back.
The clash lasted for a solid three minuets before Helios stumble back, hitting the ground with his head. "Well done Hermes. Just in time for the main event too." A man cowers behind Helios' form as he struggles to get up.
I feel like I've seen this man before though...not here though, in the human world. "Devin, from the hospital? Y-you were the paramedic that came to the school to get me and Maia!" The man stepped over Helios timidly, and faced me only a few feet away.
"I was told to follow you until Helios turned himself in. It took more lifetimes than what I had been expecting." He glanced back at my dad lying on the floor and chuckled to himself. "Now you'll all suffer the same fate." He leaped into the air pulling out a bow and arrow beginning to shoot towards Eros and Athena.
