I can't wait to start primary school
I can't wait to start secondary school
I can't wait to start senior class
I can't wait to start University
I can't wait .............
And it goes on and on and on and......
I'm pretty sure everyone has had their shares of "I can't wait".
Cause I have on numerous occasions -- you know what ? scratch that I meant on uncountable occasions !!!!
What really inspired this topic was a conversation that I had with my sis in the kitchen while I was washing plates(last born duties 😩😩 , can anyone else relate ?).
So since I'm not Einstein or Robert Langdon and I can't possibly remember the exact way the conversation went , you all will just have to bear with my exaggerated ways 😁😁✌.
So the conversation starts here , like below here , after this sentence ,like below -- ,I give up 😔😔.

Sister<s> : Ife, how far with the admission list na
Ife<I>: Mtcheeew i don't know what wrong with that university oo, it's like they don't want to release it
I'm already tired of checking their website everyday sef .
<s>: instead of you to enjoy this stage in your life
<I>: so at this point I was just looking at her with that what are you saying look
<s>: the thing about life is that you enjoy every stage you find yourself in and live for that day.
<I> : I continued washing the dishes sha( sorry I can't really remember what I did 🙈🙀)
<s>: I can still remember when I was also rushing to enter university, then I was rushing to finish university, then i was rushing to do nysc, then I was rushing to get a job, then I was rushing to get a better job
<s>: it was at that point in my life that I told myself to chill small and calm down. It seemed like all my life with my I can't wait attitude , I had being rushing for something and not even enjoying the present day that I was in!!!!
<I> : guys I was speechless throughout but at this point I was actually starting to understand and reason what she was saying.
<s>: and I don't want you to make that mistake.
Like I want you to enjoy every stage of life and I'm not saying you shouldn't aspire for greater things but while doing so, don't lose sight of that present day.
<I>: and in my normal , clueless way i just said ohhhh, okay I've heard , I didn't know what to say to the whole speech na.
So it was like a boom boom ,drops mic 🎤😎 kinda moment for my sis and yeah I'd finished washing the plates so calm down 😧😧.
So that just got me thinking and let's just say I tried to analyze the year so far to see if I had the "I can't wait attitude" and I realized I actually had it.
But the "I can't wait attitude" something I think we all do unconsciously especially when there's a main event you're looking forward too.
It's like it just comes out
I just can't wait for that party,
I can't wait for my wedding day,
I can't wait for my birthday
I'm starting to think a portion of life's made up of uncountable I can't wait's.
But on the flip side , it could be argued that having the "I can't wait attitude" is good cause it inspires and pushes people to aspire for greater things.
So I guess that's also one way to look at it again.
Which is why I decided to bring it to the table for dinner (I'm sorry I couldn't help myself 😀😝)
So that we guys could discuss this and perhaps so that I will know I'm not the only one with the "I can't wait attitude "
