Halo: Eclipse

Chapter 2

The pelican rushed through the clouds as we flew down to Majestic City.

"Did we lose them?" asked Remus

"Yeah, but we left without fuel, so we are stranded." Said Shirley.

We walked outside of the pelican once the coast was clear.

"So, Connor, you never told me. Why do they want you dead?" Asked Shirley

"Well, I was in the generals office and we were arguing about the new rules he set for the station. I left the room and as I'm walking down the hall, that announcement comes on, and all the sudden I have the whole fucking security force on my ass."

"That doesn't answer the question, why does he want you dead?" asked Remus.

"I don't know, I just figure that there is something wrong. We should go into the city and investigate what's happening."

I stood up and began to walk into the pelican.

"Shirley, is there any place in the city we can go to, to uncover any files the general wanted to cover up." I said.

"Sadly not, that's under executive order. Only generals can pull it up."

"Well, why don't we just look up the information on his logs. Aren't all generals in command, supposed to log in every night?" said Remus as he looked down the log narrow wood line.

"That's right! Connor there is a terminal in the laboratory in the city!" said Shirley in excitement.

"Sounds good, ok let's go."

20 minutes later.

The big screen in the middle of the city rang with news reports. the city was quite, apparently there was a new law based on civilian curfew.

"Shhh, look guards." said Remus as he looked down his scope.

"Take them out quietly." i said.

Me and Shirley were in an opposite alleyway watching Remus.

Remus began to move slowly through the darkness. He snuck up to the two guards outside of the lab entrance. He quickly grabbed one with his knife and then punch the other one in the wall.

"Ok, it's clear" said Remus as he removed his knife from the dead . trooper.

"Ok guys remember, slowly and precisely. There's gonna be a lot of guards down there so lets stick together." said Shirley as she hack the console door open.
