Halo: Eclipse

Chapter 7

The vents blew cold air towards our direction. We passed many accessible points but we were trying to get somewhere the guards weren't.

"Here, it looks like a room." Remus said as he looked threw the shutters.

"Ok, let's go." I responded.

We jumped into the barely lit room. Remus' visor light pierced through the darkness.

"Be careful Remus, you do want to--" befor I could say, hit anything, he slammed his foot into a pipe."

"Oops." He said as he leaned to pick it up.

"What is this place?" I said

Remus walked to the wall and turned on the lights.

A room full of computers and paper pinned against the wall was revealed after the fluorescent light lit up the room.

"This is it." Remus said as he sat in the chair.

"Ok, get what you can and let's bail." I said.

Outside the room we heard footsteps.

"Is it ready?" A voice said in the hall.

"No sir, the programming is being rebooted right now." Another voice responded.

"Wait, why is the Com room light on."

"Remus! Hurry!" I whispered.

"Shut up, I got it." He said as he pull a small drive out of the console.

I hid in a dark corner and Remus did the same but on the opposing side.

"Hm, what's this?" Said one of the guards,"Shit. The files been tamper--"

Before he could finish me and Remus attacked the guards.

We weren't very well equipped. Assault rifle, sniper rifle, and pistols weren't going to get us far, so we decided finding the armory was priority one.

We got to the armory and armed ourselves. I don't even wanna talk about what we had to do to get in there.

While we were in there, we looked over some of the files, and we were surprised. They were all updates from the ship Thompson was supposed to arrive on. Talking about engineer difficulties. Then about breach in security and then..... Nothing.

Remus had grabbed an active camo module while in the armory and I grabbed a drop shield. We easily got to the directors office, were "Thompson" was.
