Halo: Eclipse

Chapter 12

"The covenant flee this planet Connor. What did you say to him...." Asked Atlas.

"I..... I don't understand..... Why did he leave without--?" I was interrupted by the comm channel going out of control.

"Ahhhh, god damn!? Why the fuck is that happening!" Yelled a soldier.

"Fucking A, shut it off!!!" Yelled Another.

Remus quickly smashed the console with his rifle.

"That was unnecessary." William said, his voice slowly being overwhelmed by the sudden raise in comm chatter.

"God damn it, what is it!?" Atlas yelled into his helmet.

"Sir!! Sir!! Helios is gone! Handcuffs and all! He disappeared into thin--" the soldier's voice was interrupted by the power shutting down, " Sir! Our orders."

"Locate Helios and send a message to tech ops to fix the power..." Atlas said in a calmer voice.

"What now?" Remus said.

"Well, I guess we wait. Maybe the elites have him."

"Impossible they left planet not to long ago."

"Yeah, I could have sworn that it be impossible for them to do it so far away."

"No," my voice abruptly echoed threw the room of men talking," it cannot be the elites. There is another play here..."

The emergency lights flickered down the hall. We walked down the narrow hall, guns drawn.

"Where are we going?" Remus asked.

"To find out what happened." Atlas said.

A large screech came down the hall, similar to the noise on the comm unit.

"Ahhhh!" Most yelled.

We were on the floor as fast as we heard the noise. Our shields were offline, which was very uncommon due to the fact that our shields don't run on electrical power.

"Ah, Spartans. Probably the most fun hunt of them all." A voice said echoing down the hall.

"Who are--" the voice of the soldier was cut short by a slashing sound down the hall.

"Dum, dum, dum, dum." A small humming was heard.

"Ah, here we are. Mr. Atlas is it." The figure stood in the cloak of shadow.

"What are you?" He asked gasping for air.

He was dropped onto the floor.

"In due time major, all will be revealed. As soon as you pay your dept."

A loud scream was heard, as I fell unconscious.
