Chapter 16

The building was falling apart. I was being held up by Remus, who only had his magnum.

"Some shit you got us into this time...." Remus said while trying to find his way down the fire engulfed hallways.

"Yeah. (Cough*) I try my hardest."

"Yo don't you fucking die on me!"

We came to a door that was blocked by wreckage. We didn't have much time.

Remus began ramming the door, but it wasn't budging. Next thing I saw a bright light come from the door. I passed out shortly after.

Fort Garrison Medical Ward

"Uh..... Where? Where am I?" I said.

My arm was extremely heavy for some reason, and my body wasn't able to move.

"Your awake, I see. The surgery was an arousing success. You should be quite alright." He began yelling toward a black window, "Disable stasis."

I was able to move, but my arm was still heavy. Ignoring it, I placed my hand in the spot it hurt..... I felt metal. Cold, lifeless metal. I no longer had an arm. I was basically a fourth human. My arm replaced by this metal skeleton.

"I understand the wealth of emotion.... Well.."

"I sadly have no endurance for emotion doctor.... After all, I am a spartan." I said still touching the metal that replaced my arm.

"Luckily we had a similar case back on reach, with another spartan. She survive, and carried--" he was interrupted by me standing up.

"I have to see the commander."

"Look, your not in a military base, your in a hospital, and like you other patients need rest."

"I have no time for rest....."

I was greeted by a mean in sunglasses and a dark suit, accompanied by to black armored Soldiers.

"Hello.... Carson is it?" Said the man.

"Connor...."

"I understand you have a... Disability."

"I refuse to call it that."

"Exactly my point.... It is of my design. The most fast reacting form of tech on the face of this planet.... Or what's left of it. We must leave Connor, come with me Commander Samuel would like to speak to you."

- New Garrison Launch station

"Connor. Just in time. We have news!"
Greeted Lt. Versa.

"Go. Go!" she yelled.

"Commander?"

"Connor!" Said Remus, as he jumped out of his chair, "We won. There's no way they survived that!"

"Yea. You won." Said Samuel, "But not entirely. The original phantom, known as C-1101, AKA Kason, is holding out in a snow-lab just outside the New Mason sky station."

"What!? but I thought--" Remus started

"You thought Helios was the head honcho. Well, sadly your wrong. Kason is the last one..... You don't have much time, hurry before he causes anymore problems, and Connor..... Take it easy." He left the room.

"Do you think you can--"

"Nothing will limit me Remus, nothing, even if its part of me. Ill find a way. Lets go."

We were almost there. The pilot told us to ready up.

"Connor!?," started a familiar voice, "Connor, are you there?"
