Chapter 18

We assaulted 2 corvettes, who were completely surprised when the breached sub-space.

"Is that all?" Remus questioned.

It was quiet. Too quiet.

"Hmmf." The shipmaster of one the corvettes grunted.

"Sir, big target!! Big target!!" Yelled Alaster.

"Oh shit!" Said Remus.

The ship shook violently as the Super-carrier came three slip-space.

"Target the engines!" Shouted the other Shipmaster.

"It's not slowing down!" I yelled.

"The only way your going to kill that thing is a a collision." Said the Shipmaster.

"I have an idea!! Alaster keep the attack!" I shouted, "Come on Remus!"

Over comms, "Derek, William. Pelican bay now!"

"Ok!"

"Yes sir!"

"In! hurry!" I yelled.

"What are we doing?" asked Remus.

"We are going to board that super-carrier, and turn it straight into the other."

"Oh fuck." Derek said.

The ships fought behind us.

"Fuck! Banshees left flank!" I yelled.

The banshees all the sudden blew up.

"I have you captain!" Said a saber pilot.

"Thanks!" we flew over, and breached the Supercarrier.

"Remus, with me. William, and Derek, hold them off in the hanger!"

"Affirmative cap-i-ton!" Derek said.

We ran down the narrow corridors, and stumbled upon the bridge. We fought off the covenant and were able to make it to the hanger.

"Derek! William!" I yelled.

"Captain! Exits sealed!" William yelled.

"Shit, Orion? Do you know a different route?"

"Processing. There is one life pod, down the 31st corridor, approximately 134 meters away."

"Remus, with me! William, Derek, get to the roof level, and get on the pelican. We'll draw their attention."

We ran in opposite directions.

"Captain, we have approximately 38 seconds before the ship crashes into the carrier."

"We'll make it!" I said

We ran down the corridor fighting off covenant left and right.

"20 seconds."

"Captain, we're clear of the ship." William radioed.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" Remus said.

"There!!" I yelled.

We jumped into a launch bay and powered two banshees.

"Go go go!" I yelled.

We flew outside the carrier, as it collided into the other.

"Orion, why can't I control this thing!?" I asked.

"It seems the carrier collision, threw off your flight pattern."

"Alaster! Open the hanger door!!"

We crashed into the hanger. We jumped outside our banshees and began to fight off the remainder of the covenant.

"Remus, keep the fight. I'm going to the bridge."

I walked into the bridge and was aimed at by the guards. They immediately dropped their aim.

"Alaster! Take us home!" I said.

"Sir, I'm sorry. I cannot...."

"What!? Why?" I asked.

"Cause I was ordered, to remain course."

"Orders from the Colonel."

"Take us back!" I said.

"Sir, I cannot...."

"Alaster..."

"*sigh* yes sir."

We flew course towards harmony. We arrived.... And only found stardust.

"No....." I said, while trying to comprehend the tragedy.

"Colonel.... Told me not to show you this." Alaster said.

"Thank you. Now lets--" I was interrupted by the ship shaking.

"Slip-space rupture! 60 out!" Yelled a soldier.

"Alaster, get us out of here!" I yelled.

"Sir, the engines haven't rebooted. If we go now, it will--"

"Now, just do it!"

"Brace!" he yelled.
