A consent dripping was heard down the hall. The halls were dark and deselent.
"Ah, Remus? Remus? You ok?" I said while I tried to get on my feet.
"Minus the head injury, and lack of remembering how to spell my name. I'm good."
"Not the time..... Where is everyone?"
A creepy whisper echoed down the hallway.
"Uh, no." Remus said as reached for his sniper. "Wait! Where's my sniper?"
"Uh, my rifle's gone too!?" I said while looking around.
The sound echoed again.
"Remus, we have to get out of here."
"I am NOT going down there!" He said pointing towards the direction the noise came from.
"Fine. You head the opposite way and see if you can find help."
"I 100% agree with--" the sound began to echo from the opposite direction, where Remus has to go.
"Aww...."
We walked in opposite directions.
The comms were absolutely wrecked."Hello?" My voice echoed.
A small beeping came from the room next door.
"Hmm. What's this?" I said looking curiously at the panel.
"Please wait........ Please wait........... A.I. Unit Orion online. All system nominal. Primal energy source failing. Immediate relocation requested."
"Ok. Lets see what I can do..." I removed the A.I. from the console."
"Hello..... A.I. unit Orion online for complete official use." Orion said.
"Orion, analyze the building for damage. Any type of damage."
"Analyzing..... Building containment priority online. Remaining power 15%."
"Damn."
A large noise came down the hall.
"Warning, sanity levels lowering."
"I know..... Fuck, plot a way out of here."
"Warning..... Elevator offline. Stairwells 1 and 2 are currently blocked. Plotting new route."
"Fuck, what is working?" I yelled.
"Ventilation shaft 17-6 runs directly from floors 46 to 40."
"Are the stairwells blocked on the 40th floor!?"
"No."
I plugged Orion into my helmet comms and ran out to find Remus.
As I ran down the hall, the silent began to worry me. I began calling out for Remus, until I was halted by a mechanical like arm close-lining me to the floor.
"Ah! Fu.....ck!" I yelled.
"Ha, Connor. You're a hard man to find, aren't you?" A voice said from the darkness.
"Who's.... There?" I asked.
"I have many names.... But you can call me Necro. I am what you call a phantom..... A ghost of time......"
"What the fuck are you smoking?" Said Remus as he fired round of Designated marksman ammo into Necro.
"Ahh, you fools." An armor lock burst shot out of his shields and took out both our shields.
"Remus, are you ok!?"
"If you can call armor locked ok, then yes I'm perfectly fine!" He shouted.
"I will personally drop both you off the face of this planet!" He picked up Remus by the armor neck and vanishes into thin air.
"Rem--!" I was cut off.
