Hours later, at dusk, the air had chilled and there was still no sign of land. I rubbed my arms, since I still only had a pair of jeans and a tank top on. Max pulled out a blanket and wrapped it around us, making sure I got most of it. He set up pillows on the back of the boat and we layed back. I stared at the sky as more starts then I'd ever seen appeared in the sky.

     "Amazed much?" Max whispered.

"I've never seen so many... I'm awestruck..." I said, not looking away. I stared at the millions of tiny white dots for a little while until I felt a hand around my waist. I glanced at Max, smiling, I leaned my head on his chest, still wrapped up in the blanket. He fliching as I hit his cut.

"Sorry, how's your cut?" I asked, sitting up to look at him.

"It's fine, just a little sore" he pulled me back to him and I smiled. I counld feel every beat of his heart, feel every breath he took, and I felt the gentle rocking of the boat. My eyes started to get heavy, until Max grabbed my chin and turned me toward him. Tilting his head right, he pushed his lips to mine and closed his eyes. I closed my eyes as he kissed me, and kept them closed once he broke away. I fell asleep with my head on his chest, thinking of everything that lead up to this moment, the moment I never wanted to let go, never wanted to leave.

(Max's POV)

I woke up with my arms around Alex and my head rested on hers. The first lights of dawn started to leak over the horizon. As the sun hit Alex's hair, the red rim on it made it appear as though her hair where made of fire. Kissing the top of her head, I started the boat West again. I looked at Alex again, and the tune of a song I had once stumbled upon came into my head and I started to hum it. Everytime I sung it, my head would fill with thoughts of Alex. If I remembered correctly, it was called 'i fell in love in with my best friend'.

Alex stirred and rolled over onto her back. After a few minutes, her head started to thrash back and forth, and she was on the verge of screaming. Dammit! She having a nightmare.. Alex occasionally got nightmares that she would wake up screaming from. I gently shook her and she bolted up with her eyes wide open. She was breathing almost inhumanly fast, but it slowed when she saw me. I looked her in the eyes, and she gazed back.

"Freak nightmare?" I asked, and she nodded. "Wanna talk about it?" She shook her head then buried it in her knees. I sighed and started rowing the boat again.

An hour later, we found land and a jungle. Alex looked at my cut and poked it gently after climbing the hill to the edge of the biome.

"We need to change that bandage... Can u hand me a bucket?" I shrugged and handed her one, and she ran back to the water. When she came back, it was full of water.

"Are you serious right now?" I frowned.

"Fraid so. C'mon, off with the hoodie." Blushing again, I took off my hoodie and shirt so Alex could reach the cut. She carefully removed the bandages and pored the water onto the cut. I winced at the pain and bit my tongue. "Sorry..." She apologized as she wrapped a new bandage around me. She handed me my hoodie and stood up. Blaze flew over and landed on my shoulder as Snow jumped in Alex's inventory bag. Alex followed me into the jungle and started climbing and flipped off trees like some sort of monkey.

"Now who's the show off?" I smiled at her, then she bolted up a to the top of a tree. Something shot across the other in path in front me. What the....
