The thing shot in front of me again but I caught a glimpse of yellow fur. Ocelot, I thought, pulling out a raw fish. It crept up to me and ate the fish, turning into a tanish yellow cat. Picking it up, I called Alex. She flipped down from half the trees height and landed with her back to me. Before she turned around, I placed the cat on her head.

"Hey! What the..?" The cat fell into her hands. "Another kitty!" She gently placed it in the bag with snow. She hugged and thanked me, and I couldn't help but smile. We continued through the jungle and Alex stopped the whole parkour thing for a while. We came across a mossy cobblestone structure. "A temple! Cmon Max!" She said excitedly. I followed her in and she went down the stairs. Disabling the tripwires, she got to the chest at the back of the hall. Opening it, she threw out a few things, like bones and rotten flesh, then help up 3pairs of Elytra. "Babam!" She cheered, and I highfived her.

"Nice job Alex"I said as she walked up over to three switch's and flipped the middle one. We heard the floor open up stairs and went to pick through it.

"Bones, flesh, more bones, leather, nothing" she said.

"Well, I'm gonna go get the Redstone used to power this" I turned and walked down stairs to get it. A few minutes later, I heard Alex scream and I ran upstairs to find her sitting on the floor with a bow aimed out the window.

"Greifers" she said, never letting her eyes leave the door. I drew my diamond sword and walked over to the door in sneak mode. I heard the bushes ruslte outside and a player bolted in toward Alex. She shot at him but it only slowed him down. I grabbed the player and stabbed my sword straight through him. I flung him to the side once he'd gone limp. I knelt next to Alex, and grabbed the arrow shaft. She flinched and grabbed my arm.

"I need to pull it out, but it'll hurt like hell, I can tell you that..." I said. She closed her eyes and looked up.

"Just do it" she said, teeth clenched. I pulled the arrow out and she just gave a small whimper. I could see the wound through her jeans. She flipped out her pocket knife and cut all of jeans below the cut off, then she rolled up the remainder and looked at it. Frowning, she ripped of the entire bottom half of her tank top and tied it around her leg to stop the bleeding. "That should hold..." She said, looking back at me. My face was red because her entire stomach was showing. "Your staring..." She said, smiling. I scratched the back of my neck and stood up, tossing the arrow aside. I walked out of the temple with Alex limping behide me.

Her leg gave out and she fell, grabbing for my hoodie. She was able to grab the area around my neck, and looking up at me sheepishly, her face turned red and I helped her back up. I lifted her onto my back, and she just sat there, holding onto the back of the hoodie.

"Thank you..." She said, resting her head on my back.

"No problem" I smiled at her. We kept walking and eventually found a dessert biome. I pulled a baseball cap out of my bag and sat it on Alex's head. She laughed as it covered the same eye her hair covered. I walked out in to the biome, Alex still on my back. Before we even got 5 blocks in, we had footspets behide us.

"Hey guys!" I turned and saw Rain and Benja.

"Hey, what're you guys doing here? And where's Sky?" I asked.

"We teleported and what else would Sky be doing? Mining gold, running from squids, same ol same ol." Benja said, and Rain laughed.

"Max, lemme down" Alex said and I set her down, thought she sat straight down on a dirt block and pulled out a map. Unrolling it, I looked over her shoulder.

"Is that a temple?" I pointed to a spot on the map.

"Maybe, Rain! Benja! C'mere!" They came over and looked at the map. "Is that a temple?" She pointed to the same spot I had.

"Only one way to find out...." She said, and walked father into the dessert, Alex limping badly.
