I groaned and rubbed my eyes. Sitting up, I opened my eyes and saw a note on the table.

Be back later to help with Max

                                                 -Sky

Ok, I'll have help later.. I thought, then I looked over at Max. He was wide awake, staring out the window, his brown almost black hair completely messed up. I smiled and walked over to him, sitting on the bed, which had turned red.

"How're you feeling???" I asked softly.

He turned toward me and smiled. "I'll live..." He gave a small laugh. I got up and then helped Max up.

"Let's get you cleaned up" I said. Upon him standing, he leaned on me for support again. I wrapped my arms around him to find his left side turning a deeper red. I lifted his shirt to find a gnash on him that ran from his middle ribs to his pants line. My eyes widened in horror. "Max?! Wh-why didn't you tell me about this?" I said, looking at him.

"S-sorry.." he said, looking back me while pulling his shirt back down.

"It's ok, I can clean it up... And patch it up" I helped him outside. Lucky for us, there was a lake outside our house we could use. I waded with him in the water then sat him down. He shivered as the cold water flowed around him.

"It's fucking cold..." He said cleaning out his wounds the best he could, and fliching every time the water hit the cut on his side. Helping him outta the water and into the house, the bleeding stopped until I got bandages.

"Alright, take it off..." I said scratching my head and looking down, my cheeks a little red.

     "W-What?" Max asked, surprised.

"Your shirt! Take if off! I can't let you bleed out!" I said, my face red.

"O-ok.." he said, his own face red as he pulled off his red hoodie and white T-shirt. I started wrapping the bandages around him, making sure to completely cover the cut. When I was done, Max reached for his shirt, clearly still nervous.

"Max no! Bad Max! I gotta wash 'um!" I said, laughing as Max backed off. I took his hoodie and shirt to the lake where I raised them clean.

"Hey Alex, Max is inside?" Sky asked. I turned and looked at him, then nodded. I lifted his hoodie out of the water, then looked at his shirt. Yeah, there's no fixing that... I thought. I pulled my own hoodie off and walked inside. I hung it over the couch next to Max. My hoodie was one of his old ones, so it should fit him.

"Uh... Alex? This is your hoodie..." Max said holding it front of him.

"I know, but yours is beyond repair, and besides, that used to be yours anyway." I said pulling a shirt out of his dresser and tossed it to him. He put it on then pulled on the blue hoodie.

"Damn, did I shrink, or did you stretch this thing out? It huge!" He poked me as I sat beside him.Sky got up and walked outside. I smiled at Max and scootched closer to him. He was cold from the lake but I didn't care. He reached over and pulled a blanket off one of the beds and wrapped it around my shoulders, seeing as how I had nothing but a tank top, jeans and tennis shoes on. He kissed the top of my head then leaned his own head on mine. I smiled then heard his stomach growl.

"Your hungry, aren't you?" I asked, then I realized his eyes were closed. He still nodded thought. "I'll go hunting, BRB.." I gently got up and he sat up.

"Don't be long..." I heard him ask, smiling, I nodded and walked out. Benja walked past me as I went out the door with a bow and arrow in hand.

"Nice weapon choice!" Benja hollered, and gave him a thumds up with out looking back. I ran up and over the hill to start the hunt for food.
