[no-one]

It's been awhile since Ayanna and Marco made contact. When the two returned to work that following week she thought he'd make some sort of effort to fight for her, but he didn't. It was like he was a whole new person, he didn't smile and he no longer had this warmth to him, he was stone cold. No one asked questions and whoever dared found themselves unemployed. Some didn't care because business was actually going really well due to Marco's strict work only attitude. He was like a machine and didn't let anything distract him. Now Ayanna was worried and though she was very angry with him, no one could deny she still loved him. Maybe she should've been a little less hard in him on the boat and listened to him. If she had listened she could've probably gotten the answers she needed.

"Dollface."

Daphne called out to her friend who was currently dazed at her desk. Ayanna snapped from her daze and gave her friend a small smile

"Yes?"

"Have you turned in the reports? It's almost time to go."

Daphne was right, it was now dark out and the clock read 11 o'clock.

"I have one more to go. You go ahead, I'll see you tomorrow."

Daphne nodded gathering her things to leave, she was okay with leaving Ayanna by herself since the light in Marco's office was still on. If he had been here she'd stay with her friend until she was finished.

"Have a goodnight."

"You too Daph."

Ayanna called out as Daphne left. Once she was sure Daphne was really gone she pulled out her phone and called her mother to bring her something very important. Though she was questioned by her mother, Ayanna quickly dismissed her questions and asked her to hurry. With her mother on the way Ayanna looked over at Marco's office seeing the light was still on and grabbed for her coat taking a deep breathe not sure of exact what she was doing, but knowing it was the right thing to do. Leaving her desk Ayanna pulled on her coat, going to the elevator and pressing the lobby button. Down on the main floor she went out the front doors and waited outside for her mother. Soon a car familiar to her mother's pulled up and the window rolled down revealing her mother's face.

"In the back."

"Thank you Mama."

Ayanna said grabbing her mother's hand and squeezing it softly, before opening one of the back doors. In the backseat sat Noah in his night clothes sleeping. Carefully not waking him, Ayanna took her coat off and wrapped it around her son and took him in her arms. Closing the door and waving goodbye to her mother Ayanna went back into the building and to the top floor, still Marco's light was on and it was now or never. Softly knocking on Marco's door she waited for him to allow her in, but he grumbled in Italian to go away.
Marco had thought it was the cleaning crew, but whoever it was continued to knock. So finally he got up from his chair and yanked the door open to yell at the person, but he quickly shut all those thoughts out when he saw who stood in front of him. He was silent and didn't say anything as Ayanna placed the child in his arms.

"You need him and he needs you."

Was all she said before exiting the room and leaving Marco with his son. Marco looked down at the boy and gently touched his face. He still couldn't believe that he was his. This was his one and only child. He missed out on so much and could only watch from a screen. He couldn't hold in his lies anymore, he wanted to have both his son and wife in his life, he couldn't live without his family anymore.
Laying Noah down in the coach and placing his suite jacket over him, he walked out to Ayanna's desk to find her staring off into space. Pulling up a chair from a nearby desk, Marco sat in front on her. For a moment the couple stared at each other, not saying anything, but Marco put an end to that silence.

"My name is Marco Leonardo Rinaldi and I am the Don of a multibillion dollar empire, the mafia. You remember me, but then I was Leonardo Moretti, a man with a very ugly past. We fell in love and I believed that I could be happy for once, but I couldn't stay. You couldn't stay with me fir multiple of reasons, one being that I couldn't protect you like I had promised. You were carrying my child and were in a lot of danger so I did the only thing possible. I know you don't agree with my choice, but it wasn't what I truly wanted. No man ever wants to leave his family, but it was either that or death and I couldn't allow that. I am sorry."

All Ayanna could do was cry and she cried harder than ever. She was hurt, but also she was relieved. No longer would she and her son live in the dark wondering what happened. She was finally getting the answers she's been searching for.
